You will drive strategic procurement initiatives, negotiate complex supplier agreements, and help ensure successful project execution while maximizing value, mitigating risk, and supporting UCB's continued growth and competitiveness.\nWho you'll work with\nYou will work closely with UCB's Investment & Infrastructure Procurement team, project leaders, engineering teams, external suppliers, and key business stakeholders. Together, you will support major capital programs, develop sourcing strategies, manage supplier performance, and deliver procurement solutions that contribute to business objectives and project success.\nWhat you'll do\nLead sourcing activities for construction, engineering, and capital project services.\nDevelop and execute procurement strategies for major capital investments.\nManage supplier qualification, due diligence, and competitive bidding processes.\nNegotiate contracts that optimize value while minimizing commercial risk.\nEvaluate supplier proposals and support sourcing decisions for complex projects.\nBuild strong partnerships with stakeholders and strategic suppliers.\nInterested? For this role we're looking for the following\nMinimum Requirements\nBachelor's degree in Business, MBA preferred, Engineering, Manufacturing, or Supply Chain.\n5+ years supporting major capital projects and sourcing activities.\nExperience sourcing construction and engineering services.\nContract negotiation and supplier management experience.\nStrong communication, collaboration, and stakeholder management skills.\nAbility to travel up to 35% as business needs require. \nPreferred Requirements\nExperience supporting capital projects exceeding $500 million.\nExperience sourcing capital equipment and commissioning/qualification services.\nProfessional procurement certification preferred.\nStrong analytical, risk management, and problem-solving capabilities.\nAdvanced negotiation and influencing skills.\nExperience within pharmaceutical, biotechnology, or regulated industries.\nThis positions reasonably anticipated base salary range is $148,000-$194,300.
