The Adult Emergency Department consists of 55 patient care rooms including a rapid assessment unit, six trauma/resuscitation suites and separate rooms for infection isolation, care of immune compromised patients, and psychiatric consultations. In the general care area, 45 rooms are fully equipped with critical care monitoring capabilities. The six trauma/resuscitation suites are immediately adjacent to the ambulance bay. The Adult Emergency Department champions its nurse's involvement in unit-based councils, quality initiatives, staff mentorship, and the pursuit of excellence in compassionately caring for a diverse population. This position is a 100% onsite opportunity. You will need to be based in the greater Chicagoland area.\nThe Emergency Room Technician assists and augments the registered nursing staff in providing high quality patient care in the Mitchell and Comer emergency rooms.
