As a member of the Union Compress team, you will have the support to excel at work and the resources to build a career that may exceed your expectations.\nESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES\nInspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing trailer bodies, systems and components.\nPerforming preventative maintenance measures on trailers.\nExperience replacing landing legs and welding.\nMaintaining hubs and axles and adjusting or replacing them when required.\nInspecting, servicing, and replacing trailer parts, including tires.\nChecking and repairing the brake chambers, sack adjusters and brake cam bushings.\nTesting all systems and equipment for performance issues.\nEnsuring that trailers meet DOT road safety requirements.\nCompiling inspection reports to document repairs.\nProvide a safe environment to work in and follow OSHA regulations.\nCleaning of equipment and other areas as required.\nMaintain an organized and neat work area.\nLearn new technical information and techniques to stay current with changing technology.\nSKILLS/QUALIFICATIONS\nMust have previous welding experience.\nAvailability and willingness to work a variety of shifts, including days, nights, evenings and weekends.\nMust be able to bend, stand, and walk throughout the day. \nMust be able to lift up to 50 lbs regularly.\nBENEFITS\nUnion Compress offers a competitive salary and annual bonus program along with comprehensive benefits that include:\nPaid Time Off\nEmployer Paid Health Insurance\nDental Insurance\nVision Insurance\nLife Insurance\n401(k) with Company matching\nWe are proud to be an Equal Opportunity/Affirmative Action employer.
