The position is based in Eldoret and requires on-site work.\n\n Key Responsibilities\n\nThe successful candidate will be expected to:\n\nDevelop, maintain, and enhance the University’s websites and web portals;\n\nManage content management systems and ensure content accuracy and timeliness;\n\nEnsure website security, accessibility, responsiveness, and optimal performance;\n\nMonitor website usage and implement continual improvements to enhance user experience;\n\nSupport University branding, online visibility, and digital communication initiatives;\n\nDesign, develop, implement, and maintain software applications that support University operations;\n\nGather user requirements and translate them into effective technical solutions;\n\nDevelop web-based systems, portals, dashboards, and workflow automation solutions;\n\nSupport software testing, deployment, maintenance, and upgrades of institutional applications;\n\nDevelop and maintain Application Programming Interfaces (APIs) and related integrations;\n\nDesign, develop, and maintain databases to support institutional systems;\n\nEnsure data integrity, availability, confidentiality, and security across University systems;\n\nIntegrate institutional systems and third-party platforms to facilitate seamless data exchange;\n\nSupport interoperability and data exchange between various University applications and systems;\n\nTroubleshoot website, software application, and systems-related issues;\n\nPrepare and maintain technical documentation for developed systems and applications;\n\nTrain and support end users on institutional systems and digital platforms where necessary;\n\nRecommend and implement emerging technologies and innovative solutions that improve service delivery;\n\nParticipate in institutional ICT projects, system implementations, and digital transformation initiatives;\n\nComply with University ICT policies, standards, and procedures;\n\nPerform any other ICT-related duties assigned by the Information Technology Services Manager.\n\nQualifications and Experience\n\nApplicants must possess:\n\nA Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Information Systems, Web Development, or a related field from a recognized institution;\n\nAt least three (3) years of relevant experience in web development, software application development, systems support, or enterprise systems management;\n\nDemonstrate experience in developing, deploying, and maintaining web-based applications and institutional information systems;\n\nProficiency in modern web development technologies, including front-end and back-end development frameworks;\n\nExperience in database design, administration, and management;\n\nExperience in systems integration, API development, and data exchange between applications;\n\nKnowledge of Content Management Systems (CMS), Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) platforms, business process automation, and workflow management solutions;\n\nKnowledge of software development methodologies, application security, cybersecurity best practices, and secure coding principles;\n\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, communication, and stakeholder engagement skills;\n\nAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneously and deliver innovative technology solutions that support the University’s digital transformation agenda;\n\nProficiency in Microsoft Office applications, Internet applications, and relevant software development and database management tools;\n\n Demonstrated ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team;\n\n Evidence of integrity, professionalism, and commitment to continuous learning and innovation;\n\nHow to Apply\n\nInterested and qualified candidates should submit:\n\nAn application letter;\n\nA detailed Curriculum Vitae including three referees;\n\nCertified copies of academic and professional certificates;\n\nA copy of National ID or Passport;\n\nTestimonials and relevant supporting documents.\n\nLetters of recommendation from three professional referees, including a letter from the church pastor and their contact information\n\nApplications should be addressed to:\n\nThe Director Human Resource Administration\nUniversity of Eastern Africa, Baraton\nP.O.
