You will build and develop a high-performing team while ensuring operational excellence, inventory integrity, and profitability.\nThis is an opportunity for a hands-on leader who is passionate about agriculture, customer service, team development, and making a meaningful impact within their community.\nThis position is located in Grimshaw, Alberta.\nResponsibilities:\nLead, coach, and develop a customer-focused team committed to delivering exceptional service.\nCreate a positive, accountable, and high-performance culture through effective communication, coaching, and performance management.\nRecruit, onboard, train, and retain top talent.\nProvide ongoing product knowledge and operational training to support employee success and career growth.\nManage workforce planning, scheduling, and payroll to align labour resources with business needs.\nChampion a strong safety culture through leadership, coaching, and continuous improvement.\nConduct regular safety meetings, training, and workplace inspections.\nEnsure compliance with all health, safety, environmental, and company policies and procedures.\nMaintain certification and training requirements for equipment operation.\nPromote a safe working environment for employees, customers, and contractors.\nEnsure every customer receives exceptional, knowledgeable, and solution-oriented service.\nFoster strong relationships with producers, customers, suppliers, and community stakeholders.\nRepresent UFA within the local community and support initiatives that strengthen customer engagement and business growth.\nEnsure store presentation, merchandising, and product availability meet established standards.\nDrive sales growth and profitability by achieving or exceeding business targets.\nExecute promotional programs and merchandising initiatives to maximize sales opportunities.\nMonitor inventory levels, inventory accuracy, and loss prevention controls.\nOversee daily store operations, including opening and closing procedures, cash management, and operational compliance.\nUtilize reporting tools and key performance indicators to identify opportunities and drive continuous improvement.\nSupport eCommerce and omni-channel initiatives to enhance the customer experience.\nQualifications:\nA High School diploma or GED is required. \nA Bachelors Degree in Agriculture, AgriBusiness, Business Administration, Management, or a related field is considered an asset. \nA minimum of 3 years of progressive leadership experience in retail, agriculture, farm & ranch, wholesale, or a related industry.\nDemonstrated success leading teams through coaching, development, performance management, and accountability.\nStrong customer service orientation with exceptional relationship-building skills.\nEffective leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.\nStrong business acumen with the ability to analyze and interpret financial, operational, and sales performance metrics.\nExperience with retail systems, inventory management, and business reporting.\nValid Class 5 Driver's Licence with a clean driver's abstract.\nAbility to safely lift and move products weighing up to 25 kg (55 lbs).\nWillingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, as business needs require.\nExperience managing budgets, forecasting, and operational planning.\nFirst Aid Certification is considered an asset.\nEstablished connections within the local agricultural, ranching, or rural community are considered a strong asset.\nThis position is designated as safety sensitive.
