You’ll develop capabilities across the UFORCE C2/C4ISR stack, with a focus on automating operational workflows, improving mission readiness, and reducing the burden on operators and pilots.\nYou’ll combine hands-on backend and frontend engineering with end-to-end product ownership: understanding operational needs, designing solutions, shipping capabilities, and validating them with real-world crews. You’ll work closely with operators, product teams, and engineers across systems, building software that remains usable in air-gapped environments, over intermittent connections, and with limited access to engineering support.\nWhat you’ll do\nBuild and improve pre-flight and post-flight workflows, including automated checks, configuration, mission package handling, log capture, and post-mission data synchronization.\n\nDevelop operator-facing interfaces and guardrails that make routine workflows intuitive, consistent, and less dependent on engineering intervention.\n\nStandardize configuration and mission setup patterns to reduce manual work and variation between crews and platforms.\n\nBuild operational analytics that help teams understand readiness, workflow performance, turnaround time, and the impact of connectivity constraints.\n\nWork directly with operators to identify friction, translate field feedback into requirements, and validate improvements in real operational workflows.\n\nDesign and maintain APIs, schemas, and event models that enable reliable integrations and parallel development across teams.\n\nOwn delivery from discovery and technical design through implementation, rollout, observability, and iteration.\n\nMake architectural trade-offs explicit, balancing product needs with compatibility, deployment constraints, and supportability in the field.\n\nCreate concise runbooks, checklists, and troubleshooting guidance that help crews operate independently and reduce avoidable errors.\n\nUnblock teammates and partner teams through clear interfaces, ownership boundaries, and practical engineering standards.\n\nRequired Skills\n6+ years of backend or full-stack engineering experience delivering production systems.\n\nStrong hands-on experience with Node.js and React in production environments.\n\nA product-focused approach: you understand user needs and turn complex workflows into practical, usable software.\n\nExperience building and operating API-first services, including versioning, backward compatibility, and contract-driven development.\n\nPractical experience with Docker and Kubernetes, including deployments, debugging, and operational monitoring.\n\nStrong end-to-end engineering ownership, from discovery and technical design to rollout and continuous improvement.\n\nAbility to work closely with users, translate operational feedback into technical requirements, and validate whether a solution delivers the intended outcome.\n\nClear written and verbal communication, particularly when explaining interfaces, constraints, and technical trade-offs across teams.\n\nA practical approach to debugging and reliability, supported by useful telemetry,
