You'll play a key role in supporting production teams, improving processes, and helping achieve operational goals.\nKey Responsibilities\nAssist in managing daily manufacturing operations to achieve production, quality, safety, and profitability objectives\nSupport production planning and scheduling to ensure customer demands and delivery commitments are met\nHelp supervise, coach, and develop production employees and team leaders\nMonitor operational performance, productivity, and quality metrics while identifying opportunities for improvement\nAssist in implementing process improvements that enhance efficiency, reduce waste, and improve workflow\nSupport staffing efforts to ensure production requirements are met while maintaining cost objectives\nEnsure employees receive proper training and development to perform their jobs safely and effectively\nMonitor inventory levels, material utilization, and inventory accuracy within assigned areas\nAssist with month-end inventory counts and inventory control processes\nHelp oversee equipment maintenance and coordinate with maintenance teams to minimize downtime\nMaintain high standards for housekeeping, organization, and operational excellence throughout the facility\nSupport the monitoring and control of departmental expenses and operating costs\nAssist with purchasing supplies, processing purchase requests, and approving operational documentation as needed\nPrepare reports, production metrics, and operational summaries for leadership review\nChampion a culture of safety by ensuring compliance with OSHA regulations, company policies, and all applicable federal, state, and local requirements\nParticipate in safety initiatives and continuous improvement programs that support operational excellence\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired Qualifications\n2+ years of experience in a manufacturing, production, or operations leadership role\nDemonstrated ability to lead teams, build relationships, and drive results in a fast-paced environment\nStrong understanding of manufacturing operations, production processes, and inventory management\nExperience coaching and developing employees while fostering accountability and engagement\nProficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and Outlook\nStrong problem-solving, organizational, and communication skills\nPreferred Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Manufacturing, Operations Management, Business, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)\nExperience within construction products, building materials, industrial manufacturing, or related industries\nKnowledge of lean manufacturing, process improvement, or continuous improvement methodologies\nFamiliarity with UFP products, operations, and company culture\nThe Ideal Candidate\nYou're an emerging operations leader who thrives on solving problems, developing people, and improving processes.
