This has led to us growing our sales nationwide and internationally.\nJob Summary\nThe Plant Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of the plant's manufacturing operations and related department operations consistent with cost, profit and productivity objectives. Develops production schedules for area of responsibility, coordinates activity with other areas and forecasts the production requirements of the Company.\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities\nFormulates long and shortrange business plans and goals.\nEnsure that all plant assets in area of responsibility are properly managed and safeguarded.\nStaffs assigned operations to meet production levels consistent with cost objectives.\nEnsures that employees are properly trained.\nLead and motivate the production team activities directly or through supervisors and lead operators ensuring all activities are carried on appropriately and in a cost-effective manner within our established timelines.\nCoaches and develops subordinates, evaluates performance and initiates corrective action as required.\nEstablishes work center operation efficiency standards.\nMonitors performance to established efficiency and quality standards to allow for smooth-flowing production and fully utilizing internal capacity and initiates corrective action as required.\nEnsures performance reviews are conducted in accordance with policy in area of responsibility.\nEnsures that facility conditions and housekeeping conform to Company standards in area of responsibility and working with Purchasing Specialist to coordinate outside services for upkeep and repair of the production facility.\nMonitors expenses for area of responsibility and initiates corrective action as required.\nAnalyzes production operations and workflow and develops improvement recommendations.\nMonitors output and scrap to ensure efficient resource utilization and initiates corrective action as required within area of responsibility.\nManages inventory in area of responsibility, ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with operational policy, and participates in month end inventory.\nEnsures that machinery in area of operation is properly maintained.\nOrders supplies, initiates purchase orders and approves timecards and incentives.\nManages finished goods packaging as required.\nPrepares various reports and logs as required.\nParticipates in the Safety Committee process and ensures that assigned operations are performed consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices and procedures.\nStay abreast of industry trends and keep an eye on emerging technologies, methods, solutions, materials, products, and equipment related to our Production Operations.\nEnsures that operations are performed with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, and Company policy and procedure.\nQualifications\nPreferred Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Industrial Engineering, or related field.\nMinimum of three years of experience as production supervisor or equivalent.\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.\nBasic understanding of flexographic pre-press, press, and finishing activities.\nWhat We Are Looking For and Our Core Values:\nDemonstrates ability to analyze workload and focus on priorities and time-sensitive tasks.\nHas recognized success in strategic planning, decision-making and problem solving.\nHas strong conflict management.\nSeeing the best in yourself and in others.\nDesiring a meaningful relationship with the customer.\nSeeking out challenges and thriving on them.\nHaving a Heart of a Servant.\nBenefits:\nMedical insurance\nHealth Savings Account with company contribution\nDental insurance\nVision insurance\nBasic and voluntary life insurance\nDisability insurance\n401(k) plan with company match\nPaid vacation and holidays\nStock purchase program with employee discount\nEducational reimbursement\nWellness programs and challenges\nOther supplemental benefits\nAdvantage Label & Packaging is a growing company.
