The successful candidate will be responsible for managing our team of Process Technicians. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, a focus on quality, and the ability to troubleshoot process-related issues.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\nPrimary objectives are productivity improvement, process efficiency, downtime reduction, and high quality.\nSupervise and coordinate the activities of process technicians across multiple extrusion lines.\nTrain, mentor, and evaluate process technicians; develop their technical skills and ensure compliance with SOPs and safety protocols.\nAssist extruder operators in solving processing issues and recommend parameter changes when extruded profiles are out of specification.\nCollaborate with production planning, maintenance, and quality control teams to meet output goals and resolve cross-functional issues.\nMaintains various training manuals, records and performs other duties as required.\nEnsure all documents are being filled and updated as needed by technicians.\nParticipate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements.\nJob Specifications\nKnowledge\n3 years of supervisor or lead operator, related work experience and / or proven performance.\nDemonstrate ability in basic mathematical computations and to accurately use a tape measure and calipers.\nDemonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools and to perform routine maintenance on molders and brush machines.\nAbility to stand on concrete surfaces for up to three hours without a break and twelve hours with breaks, lift weights up to 100 pounds at shoulder level.\nDemonstrate ability to give, comprehend, follow written and oral instructions, and effectively communicate with fellow employees.\nAbility to work shifts and hours mandated by management and to pass a drug test.\nSkills and abilities\nAbility to work in a safe manner\nAbility to recognize quality of material\nDemonstrates ability to perform LOTO\nDemonstrates ability to follow specific instructions and directions\nDemonstrate ability to use and operate hand tools\nDemonstrate ability to stack material properly\nAbility to pay attention to surroundings\nAbility to identify safety issues in their work area, and notice equipment malfunctions\nAbility to understand basic verbal and written instructions in English.\nAbility to read a tape measure and read blue prints or plans\nAbility to troubleshoot the machine or equipment in use.\nAbility to understand efficiencies and productivity measures\nDemonstrate eye-hand coordination\nAbility to work under immediate supervision\nAbility to pass a drug test\nAbility to work hours mandated by management\nConduct\nSafety conscious\nTeam player and goal oriented\nOpen to change and positive attitude\nCommitted to plant and company goals\nParticipates in Safety and CI programs\nPunctual and reliable\nLooks for ways to improve productivity and department results\nDisclaimer Statement\nThe above information on this description has been designed to indicate the general nature and level of work performed by employees within this classification.
