We offer a wide variety of wood structural components, aluminum decks and rails, and cold formed steel structural components.\nWe're currently looking for a Production Manager to join the team in Berlin, NJ.\nJob Summary\nThe Production Manager is responsible for the management and coordination of a plant's manufacturing operations or multiple department operations consistent with cost, profit and productivity objectives. Develops production schedules for area of responsibility, coordinates activity with other areas and forecasts inventory requirements.\nPrinciple Duties and Responsibilities\nFormulates long and shortrange business plans and goals.\nEnsure that all plant assets in area of responsibility are properly managed and safeguarded.\nStaffs assigned operations to meet production levels consistent with cost objectives.\nEnsures that employees are properly trained.\nSupervises activities directly or through supervisors and lead operators.\nCoaches and develops subordinates, evaluates performance and initiates corrective action as required.\nEstablishes work center operation efficiency standards.\nMonitors performance to established efficiency and quality standards and initiates corrective action as required.\nEnsures performance reviews are conducted in accordance with policy in area of responsibility.\nEnsures that yard conditions and housekeeping conform to Company standards in area of responsibility.\nMonitors expenses for area of responsibility and initiates corrective action as required.\nAnalyzes production operations and workflow and develops improvement recommendations.\nMonitors output, cuts yields and scrap to ensure efficient resource utilization and initiates corrective action as required within area of responsibility.\nManages inventory in area of responsibility, ensures inventory is rotated in accordance with operational policy, and participates in month end inventory.\nEnsures that machinery in area of operation is properly maintained.\nOrders supplies, initiates purchase orders, and approves timecards and incentives.\nManages finished goods packaging as required.\nPrepares various reports and logs as required.\nParticipates in the Safety Committee process and ensures that assigned operations are performed consistent with Company and OSHA policies, practices and procedures.\nEnsures that operations are performed with Federal, State and local laws and regulations, and Company policy and procedure.\nQualifications\nPreferred bachelor's degree in relating discipline or equivalent\nMinimum of two years of experience as production supervisor or equivalent\nWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office including Excel, Word and Outlook.\nPreferred experience and knowledge on UFP’s organization, culture, and product lines\nSalary Pay Range: Starting base pay $65,000 -
