This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the manufacturing process and product quality.\nPrincipal Duties and Responsibilities\nSupervise and lead a team of quality control technicians to ensure that all products meet the specified quality standards throughout the production process.\nIdentifies any bottlenecks or delays in the inspection department and makes necessary changes to optimize efficiency and quality.\nDevelop and implement QC protocols, standards, and procedures for all stages of the extrusion process, including raw material inspection, in-process monitoring, and finished product testing.\nPerform regular audits and inspections of production equipment, materials, and finished goods to verify compliance with quality specifications.\nEnsure that all Quality documents are being recorded and stored appropriately. Maintain accurate records of calibration items, set up and maintain quality lab.\nMonitor production trends and quality data to detect potential problems and recommend improvements in processes, materials, or techniques.\nCoordinate with production teams to ensure smooth communication and resolve any quality-related concerns during the manufacturing process.\nConduct routine training for QC team members on quality standards, testing methods, and safety protocols.\nMaintain detailed records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions for traceability and reporting.\nEnsure compliance with all applicable safety, health, and environmental regulations within the QC department.\nSupport product development and process improvement initiatives by providing input on material selection, design specifications, and manufacturing processes.\nAssist in the development of new quality standards and specifications in collaboration with the engineering and production departments.\nQualifications\nMinimum of 3 years of experience in quality control or relevant manufacturing experience in a manufacturing environment, preferably in plastics extrusion or similar industries.\nProven experience in managing and leading teams of people.\nStrong knowledge of quality control methodologies and including inspection techniques.\nFamiliarity with industry standards and regulations, including ISO 9001, ASTM, and other relevant quality certifications.\nProficiency in using quality control tools such as calipers, tape measure, spectrometers, and other testing equipment.\nStrong analytical skills and attention to detail with the ability to assess data and make informed decisions.\nExcellent communication, leadership, and problem-solving skills.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced and dynamic environment with minimal supervision.\nProficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, etc.), and experience with quality management software is a plus.\nSkills and abilities\nAbility to understand verbal and written instructions in English;
