This team is integral to our operations, supporting multiple critical systems that are at the heart of the U-Haul software ecosystem. As a Software Developer, you will play a key role in designing, developing, and maintaining robust and scalable APIs/services and supporting UIs using the complete Microsoft Stack, .NET, C#, SQL, Postgres, modern front-end frameworks and libraries, and supporting technologies. Our systems are built around Kafka event streams, emphasizing resiliency and scalability.\nKey Responsibilities: \nDesign, develop, test, and maintain software solutions using the full Microsoft stack and supporting technologies. \nImplement and manage event-driven architectures using Kafka event streams. \nApply modern software design principles to design scalable and resilient systems. \nProvision, monitor, and maintain cloud-based resources and systems via Azure Portal. \nCollaborate with cross-functional teams and various businesses within the company to solve unique opportunities. \nTroubleshoot, debug, and optimize existing software applications. \nStay up to date with emerging technologies and best practices to ensure continuous improvement. \nUnderstand how systems work together in a big picture sense and integrate multiple applications efficiently. \nCommon Skills and Requirements: \nExperience: Minimum of 5 years in software development and bachelor's degree in computer science, Engineering, or a related field. \nTechnologies: Proficiency in Object Oriented programming languages and design as well as strong database experience. \nEvent-Driven Architecture: Experience with Kafka or similar event streams and producer/consumer or pub/sub relationships. \nDesign Principles: Strong understanding of modern software design principles and its application in scalable systems, understanding of modern software best practices. \nProblem-Solving: Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills. \nCommunication: Strong verbal and written communication skills. Ability to work efficiently and professionally with team members and other teams. Must be a self-starter and passionate about personal and professional growth within the field. \nTeam Collaboration: Proven ability to work effectively in a team environment. Ability to maintain constant communication and be accommodating to questions and requests from other teams. \n Tools: Experience with complete Microsoft Stack and Azure (DevOps and Cloud Portal), Kibana/Elastic Search/Grafana, Dynatrace, Data Design/Creation/Querying/Stored Procedures, WCF/REST/WebAPIs and API testing tools. \nAdaptability: Ability to adapt to new technologies and learn quickly.
