Opportunity\nWe are seeking a highly experienced Cloud Infrastructure Engineer to design, build, and evolve the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) infrastructure that powers our cloud-native SaaS platform.\nThis is a deeply technical, hands-on engineering role requiring strong production experience with Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE), Kubernetes infrastructure, Terraform, and cloud networking, preferably on GCP. \nYou will be responsible for the foundational infrastructure that supports our engineering organization, including Kubernetes clusters, GCP networking, infrastructure automation, identity and access management, and shared infrastructure services.\nWe are looking for engineers who have directly designed, built, operated, and troubleshot complex Kubernetes environments running on cloud providers-not simply deployed applications into existing clusters.\nWhat You'll Do\nDesign, build, operate, and maintain production infrastructure on Google Cloud Platform (GCP), including GKE, VPC networking, load balancers, Cloud DNS, IAM, and related cloud services.\nOwn the architecture and lifecycle of Kubernetes clusters, including provisioning, upgrades, node pool management, autoscaling, networking, capacity planning, and operational troubleshooting.\nDevelop and maintain Terraform modules, infrastructure-as-code frameworks, and automated provisioning workflows that enable consistent, reliable infrastructure management.\nTroubleshoot complex infrastructure issues across Kubernetes, Linux, networking, DNS, cloud services, and distributed systems.\nDesign and maintain GCP networking infrastructure, including VPCs, subnetworks, firewall rules, routing, NAT, load balancing, and connectivity between services and environments.\nBuild and improve infrastructure observability using Prometheus, logging systems, metrics, alerting, and related monitoring tools.\nImplement and maintain infrastructure security controls, including IAM policies, service accounts, secrets management, and least-privilege access patterns.\nDrive infrastructure reliability, scalability, performance, and cost optimization across our GCP environment.\nPlan and execute major infrastructure upgrades, migrations, and architectural improvements while minimizing production risk.\nPartner with Platform Engineering, SRE, and Security teams to establish scalable infrastructure patterns and clear technical ownership.\nParticipate in technical design reviews, architecture discussions, and mentorship of other engineers.\nRequired Qualifications\nCloud Native Infrastructure, Google Cloud Platform (GCP) preferred\n3+ years of hands-on production experience, including designing, provisioning, operating, and troubleshooting cloud infrastructure.\nDeep practical knowledge of GCP networking, including VPCs, subnets, firewall rules, routing, Cloud NAT, Cloud DNS, and Cloud Load Balancing.\nExperience managing GCP projects, IAM policies, service accounts, and infrastructure security configurations.\nDemonstrated experience debugging production infrastructure problems involving multiple GCP services.\nKubernetes / GKE\n 3+ years of hands-on experience operating production Kubernetes clusters, preferably Google Kubernetes Engine (GKE).\nDirect experience provisioning, administering, upgrading, and troubleshooting Kubernetes clusters.\nStrong understanding of Kubernetes architecture and internals, including the control plane, worker nodes, scheduling, networking, services, ingress, storage, and resource management.\nExperience managing node pools, autoscaling, resource requests and limits, cluster capacity, and Kubernetes version upgrades.\nAbility to troubleshoot complex Kubernetes infrastructure issues involving networking, DNS, node health, scheduling, resource pressure, and cluster-level failures.\nExperience using tools such as kubectl, Helm, and Kubernetes monitoring and diagnostic utilities.\nExperience limited to deploying containerized applications into Kubernetes does not satisfy this requirement.\nInfrastructure as Code and Automation\n3+ years of professional experience using Terraform to provision and manage production cloud infrastructure.\nExperience developing reusable Terraform modules, managing remote state, and implementing safe infrastructure change processes.\nStrong scripting and automation skills using Python, Go, Bash, or similar languages.\nExperience with Git-based infrastructure management workflows, code reviews, and automated validation.\nSystems and Networking\nStrong Linux systems administration and troubleshooting skills.\nSolid understanding of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS, TLS, routing, firewalls, and load balancing.\nAbility to diagnose difficult infrastructure problems using logs, metrics, traces, packet-level analysis, and systematic debugging techniques.\nExperience designing secure, resilient, and scalable production infrastructure.\nPreferred Qualifications\n8+ years of professional engineering experience\nExtensive experience operating GKE clusters in large-scale, multi-cluster, or multi-region production environments.\nExperience with GKE networking, Workload Identity, Gateway API, Ingress controllers, and cluster autoscaling technologies.\nExperience designing multi-project GCP architectures with centralized networking, IAM governance, and infrastructure guardrails.\nExperience operating Prometheus, Grafana, and centralized logging infrastructure.\nExperience with Kubernetes infrastructure security, including RBAC, network policies, workload identity, and secrets management.\nExperience performing major Kubernetes or GCP infrastructure migrations with minimal production disruption.\nExperience with infrastructure cost optimization, capacity modeling, and cloud resource efficiency.\nExperience supporting highly available SaaS platforms or distributed systems operating at significant production scale.\nMentors senior engineers and drives
