In this role, you will understand the plant processes and equipment, and apply the appropriate automation systems to those processes, including programming, hardware and software specifications, and start-up and operations support.\nHow You Will Make an Impact:\nProcess Controls Engineer Functional Role\nEnsures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance\nLeads and coordinates implementation/modification of automation/monitoring systems on multiple platforms: Emerson DeltaV, Foxboro IA, Enterprise Historian (Aspen or PI) and PLCs (Rockwell)\nImplements process control strategies to batch and continuous manufacturing equipment\nWork with process control engineers from Affiliate manufacturing sites to develop & maintain set standards & conventions for best in practice plant automation & process control\nProvides technical support to affiliate manufacturing operations and all its personnel\nDevelops training for operations personnel on automation systems and process control strategies\nIdentifies automation project needs and assist with development of the capital budgets\nSupports site automation systems including activities such as troubleshooting, programming, preventative maintenance, back-ups, systems integration, and future planning\nParticipates in Management of Change (MOC), Process Hazard Analysis (PHA) processes that are related to process control\nProposes solutions to address the IT/OT convergence and issue resolution concerning (i.e. cybersecurity, operating system updates, life cycle management)\nMaintain site automation hardware & process control networks to support the operations of the Morgantown, WV and Newport, TN manufacturing site safely & securely through implementing a life cycle plan for the site’s automation infrastructure.\nProvides technical support for new equipment/process start-ups and operation\nParticipates in the production Tier meetings\nTrack and report monthly metrics (Key Performance Indicators, KPI’s) as well as prepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives\nSatisfy all Corporate Quality Requirements and ISO9001 Quality Management System\nPractice Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001\nDrive a Culture of Continuous Improvement\nPartners to drive LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence) \nActively participates in a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative engagement and by providing suggestions in meetings and trainings to improves processes and systems\nEnsures work is accomplished through defined, measured, and continuously improved work processes; proactively identifies and leverages best practices developed across SI\nWork with Production, Quality, Global Process Engineering, R&D, Pilot Plant, Sales to identify implement improved process control strategies to batch and continuous manufacturing equipment.\nImprove processes (reduce cycle, increase batch yields, increase bath quality, decrease manufacturing costs, etc.).\nImplement continual improvements to increase production equipment reliability as well as create efficiency and sustainability in the process.\nCreating Extraordinary Starts With:\nBS Chemical or Electrical Engineering; or other applicable degree \nMinimum of 10 years process industry equipment knowledge and experience, preferably in a chemical manufacturing environment \nWorking knowledge of automation standards for process safety, alarm management, batch management, & cybersecurity for industrial control systems.\nExperience with Distributive Control Systems (Foxboro IA, Emerson Delta V), Enterprise Historian (Aspen or Pi) and PLCs (Rockwell)\nStrong Troubleshooting Skills\nWhat We Value:\nWe strive for all employees to nurture physical, mental and emotional health both personally and professionally.
