You will be responsible for partnering with cross-functional teams in the implementation of production improvements programs to optimize production.\nHow You Will Make an Impact:\nEnsures EHS compliance and continuous improvement in EHS performance\nProvides technical support for Production troubleshooting, problem-solving, and root cause analysis of process issues \nProvides training on and leads advanced troubleshooting and problem-solving processes\nWorks collaboratively with Quality on chemistry related issues & method formulation improvements\nWorks cooperatively with site engineering to develops project scopes and process engineering packages for new installations and retrofit of facilities\nProvides technical input for maintenance of raw material usage standards (SAP bill of materials); drives analysis and continuous improvement of raw material utilization (yield performance).\nProvides analysis of equipment time utilization (OEE) and drives continuous improvement.\nResponsible for functional safety execution for assigned processes including process hazard analysis (PHA), Layers of Protection Analysis (LOPA), Management of Change (MOC), Pre-Start-up Safety Reviews (PSSR), and completion of Corrective and Preventative Actions (CAPA).\nProvide technical support to basic process control systems (DCS - Yokogawa) to optimize process performance and functionality for the operator. Activities may include: loop-tuning, alarm management, and small configuration tasks.\nAssist production department with creation and maintenance of standard operating procedures (SOPs)\nLeads or assist in the incident and near miss investigation processes to mitigate risk or resolve\nSupports the development of KPIs and goals aligned with the PPMC; monitors KPI performance to identify support needs in addressing performance gaps \nPrepare technical progress reports on active projects and initiatives\nSatisfies all Corporate Quality Requirements\nPractices Responsible Care 14001 through active participation in the Responsible Care Management System and adhere to the Guiding Principles of Responsible Care 14001\nPartners to drive LEAN/Six Sigma, continuous improvement of processes and operations for increased productivity and efficiency (Operational Excellence) \nActively participates in a culture of continuous improvement through collaborative engagement and by providing suggestions in meetings and trainings to improves processes and systems\nEnsures work is accomplished through defined, measured, and continuously improved work processes; proactively identifies and leverages best practices developed across SI\nCreating Extraordinary Starts With:\nBS of Science Degree in Chemical Engineering, or demonstrated equivalency \nMinimum of seven years of engineering experience in a chemical plant\nExperience in batch, semi-batch, and continuous processing & controls\nWhat We Value:\nWe strive for all employees to nurture physical, mental and emotional health both personally and professionally.
