In this exciting new role, you’ll be overseeing the general maintenance of our centre, maintaining health and safety, and general repairs.\nOur Core Values:\nAt the heart of everything we do are our four core values:\nUnderstanding - listening, empathising, and responding to individual needs.\nKindness - treating everyone with dignity, respect, and compassion.\nAccountability - taking responsibility for our actions and maintaining high standards.\nTeamwork - working collaboratively to achieve the best outcomes for our clients.\nThe benefits of being a Maintenance Operative in the team:\nTraining given\n28 Days Holiday rising to 33 Days after 5 continuous years of service* Pro Rata\nBirthday Off\nCompany pension scheme\nOn-site parking\nEmployee benefits and discounts\nBlue Light Card\nWellness programme with BUPA\nEmployee of the month (Delegating up to £100 in vouchers per month)\nMain duties of the Maintenance Operative:\nWorking independently on task lists.\nLiaising with external contractors and other workers as necessary.\nMaintaining the structure and fabric of all the properties owned by the company, repairing and preserving where necessary.\nComplete basic joinery and plumbing tasks.\nEnsure water hygiene standards are maintained and any discrepancies are recorded.\nCarrying out regular water temperature checks to ensure water does not present as a scalding risk to clients.\nEnsuring that the grounds are litter-free.\nTo conform to and understand Health and Safety regulations, be responsible for regularly checking the condition of any tools, ladders, personal protective equipment.\nKeeping up the maintenance of the buildings to comply with current legislation and work at any establishment owned or managed by the company.\nAttend team meetings, supervision, and refresher training as directed.\nEssential criteria:\nExperience in a similar role\nQualifications in general repair and maintenance\nAbility to undertake all round general repair and maintenance work around the centre\nThe Recruitment Process:\nYou will have an initial phone conversation with our People Partner, which will be an informal chat and opportunity to ask questions about the position\nIf you are successful in your initial phone conversation, you will be required to undertake an interview on-site or via video conference.
