Role |

We are looking for an Accounts Payable Manager to join our team in Barcelona. Reporting directly to our Accounting Manager, you will own the Accounts Payable function end to end and lead a team of 3 AP Specialists. This is a hands-on management role: you will stay close to the day-to-day ledger work while setting the standards, controls and processes that scale AP across all entities.

Responsibilities |

• Own the full AP cycle across all entities, from invoice receipt and coding through to payment execution.
• Lead, coach and develop a team of 3 AP Specialists, managing workload allocation, priorities and coverage.
• Define and enforce AP policies, approval workflows and internal controls, and align them across entities.
• Own the payment calendar and run payment cycles, working with Treasury on cash requirements and forecasting.
• Own AP deliverables in the month end close: accruals, reconciliations, aged creditor reporting and supporting analysis.
• Act as escalation point for complex payment issues, vendor disputes and internal queries.
• Own vendor master data governance and the AP toolstack (NetSuite, Tipalti), driving automation and process improvement.
• Partner with Procurement, Legal, Operations and external stakeholders, and support external audit and tax requirements.
• Provide support to the wider Finance team in areas such as Accounts Receivable and general ledger.

About you |

• 4-6 years of experience in Accounts Payable, including at least 1-2 years leading or supervising a team.
• Experience managing AP across multiple entities or countries.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, with the ability to log and process large amounts of data.
• Hands-on experience with NetSuite and Tipalti or similar, ideally including system implementation or optimisation.
• Fluency in English and Spanish.
• Proven skills in analysis and interpretation of data balanced with a strong soft skills set.
• Track record of improving and standardising processes, not just running them.
• Comfortable working in cross-functional teams.
• Comfortable performing in a start-up environment.
