The School of Arts is well established with a strong research profile and has a large number of undergraduate and postgraduate students.\nThe successful candidate will coordinate and lecture modules in the African Music and Dance specialisation in the Music Discipline. The Music Discipline has established a reputation for innovative African-centered teaching and practice-based research. The successful applicant should have theoretical and practical experience in this specialisation and would be expected to teach both practical and theoretical aspects of the curriculum, at as well as the applied ethnomusicology components of the curriculum at an undergraduate and postgraduate level. The successful candidate will be expected to supervise postgraduate students.
