The successful candidates will be responsible for driving the University’s marketing initiatives, enhancing brand visibility, and ensuring alignment with UKZN’s corporate identity guidelines.\nThe Marketing Coordinators will play a pivotal role in coordinating integrated marketing campaigns, managing advertising and promotional spaces, and overseeing external brand activations. In addition, the roles include facilitating third-stream income through external partnerships, filming requests, and marketing collaborations. The incumbents will work closely with the Head of Brand Management and other stakeholders to effectively position and promote UKZN’s academic programmes, events, and institutional achievements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nDevelop and implement marketing strategies and campaigns.\nCoordinate and manage external brand activations and partnership engagements.\nOversee advertising and branding activities across strategic platforms.\nFacilitate third-stream income opportunities, including filming coordination and service pricing structures.\nEngage with internal and external stakeholders to support marketing objectives.\nMinimum requirements\nGrade 12 (Matric)\nBachelor’s degree in marketing, Public Relations, Communications, Business Administration, or a related field\nA minimum of five (5) years of experience in marketing coordination, brand management, corporate relations, or a similar field\nAdvantageous\nExperience in developing pricing structures or rate cards for services.\nAbility to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple projects simultaneously.\nUnderstanding of higher education marketing and corporate relations.\nStrategic and creative mindset with a results-driven approach.\nSkills and Competencies:\nProven experience in executing marketing campaigns and managing brand activations.\nStrong project management and organizational skills with the ability to multitask effectively.\nExcellent verbal and written communication skills.\nProven stakeholder engagement and negotiation skills.\nSound knowledge of branding, corporate identity, and higher education marketing principles.\nProficiency in Microsoft Office and marketing software/tools.\nExperience with media production logistics and third-party filming coordination is advantageous.\nCompetence in developing rate cards or pricing structures for services\nThe closing date for receipt of applications is Monday, 2 November 2026.\nTo apply please click on the link https://ukzn.ci.hr/applicant/index.php OR visit the career portal on https://ukzn.ac.za\n Kindly note that the University of KwaZulu-Natal (“the University”) is required to process any Personal Information (as defined by the Protection of Personal Act, 2013 “POPIA”) submitted by candidates when applying for positions at the University.
