Whether we’re simulating tornadoes or testing smoke alarms, the work we do on our team is used in buildings around the world to - quite literally - help save lives.\nOur dynamic built environment engineering team in Telford is seeking a Certification Engineer, where you'll play a crucial role in the certification of fenestration and cladding products for the UK market. In this hands-on position, you'll manage the delivery of certification projects and develop comprehensive testing plans for our clients across the UK and Europe.\n As a Certification Engineer, you are the glue that engages the customer and the UL Solutions' engineering teams together, ensuring the successful delivery of their testing projects.\nInitially, you'll work with customers to determine project scope, develop a preliminary plan of investigation, and determine project specifications such as cost, time, and sample requirements.\nEstablish appropriate test programs by reviewing files and manufacturer's information, examining samples, and applying UL requirements.\nCoordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and instructions to technicians\nKey to your success will be your ability to engage with customers, updating them on the testing phases, notifying them of any non-compliance with UL requirements and dealing with any issues the customer has.\nYou will organise and complete factory audits.\nCreate UL certification documentation.\nProjects may include travel to conduct audits at client sites.\nProvide technical assistance to clients in reference to product inspection and follow-up services.\n#LI-Hybrid #LI-ZK1\n University Degree in Engineering from an accredited program.\nExperience is not required, but nice to have.\nWorking knowledge of relevant industry conformity standards relating to fenestration (windows) and cladding would be highly desirable.\nStrong customer-focus and the ability to engage with customers and build solid relationships.\nTotal Rewards: We understand that rewards are an important consideration as you plan the next step in your career.
