Absolutely!\nPosition Summary:\nWe are seeking a motivated Applied AI Intern to join our team. We believe in using AI not just for research, but to make our daily operations faster, smarter, and more efficient. In this role, you will bridge the gap between AI research and practical application. You will work on developing machine learning models to identify bottlenecks, automate tasks, and drive significant improvements in our business processes.\n Key Responsibilities:\nDesign and refine prompts to automatically extract and maintain regulatory attributes.\nLeverage Microsoft AI Foundry and related AI tools to support experimentation, content creation, and requirement definition for future production development. \nAnalyze existing applications/workflows and processes to identify inefficiencies, patterns, and opportunities for automation in workflows.\nAssess data quality, availability and governance constraints prior to developing ML models\nPropose AI-driven features and solutions that can deliver measurable business value\nCreate and connect AI models to existing software applications (if applicable)\nMaintain clear documentation of AI experiments and process improvement results.\nWork with cross-functional teams to understand business requirements and translate them into technical solutions. \nWhat you will Learn:\nHands-on experience applying AI to real business problems. \nSee how work flows across teams and systems and learn how to spot pain points and opportunities for improvement.\nExposure to real company data, systems and cross-functional collaboration\nExperience turning ideas into usable solutions that would influence operational decision\nUnderstanding of responsible and ethical AI use\n Required Qualifications & Skills:\nCurrently pursuing a Bachelor’s/Master’s in Computer Science, AI/ML, Data Science, Statistics, Engineering or a related field.\nExperience or coursework in prompt engineering\nFamiliarity with Visual Studio and GitHub for basic development workflows.\nFamiliarity with Microsoft AI Foundry for experimenting with, evaluating, and applying AI models in business use cases is a plus.\nExperience with data visualization or analysis tools (Power BI, excel, etc)\nUnderstanding of process mapping or Industrial Engineering concepts\nStrong analytical, problem solving and communication skills; willingness to adapt in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.\nEmployer Description\nA global leader in applied safety science, UL Solutions (NYSE: ULS) transforms safety, security and sustainability challenges into opportunities for customers in more than 110 countries.
