This role ensures accurate, timely, and compliant testing; translates client needs into practical laboratory plans; and delivers clear results, recommendations, and continuous-improvement insights.\n Supervises the day-to-day delivery of high-quality testing services.\nMonitors the daily productivity and quality of work, allocates resources as required and troubleshoot/escalate problems as necessary.\nSchedules, assigns, reviews and coordinates workflow to assure proper utilization and training of lab staff, ensuring all work is in accordance with regulatory and organizational policy, accreditation/compliance requirements.\nProvides input into the annual budgetary goals, capital expenditure budget for lab equipment and tactical plans for assigned lab team.\nContributes to preparing instructions for test methods, procedures, quality control and maintenance procedures.\nExamines test samples, test performance and provides input regarding issues and/or problems with test/data sheets.\nOperates machines and lab equipment, may perform routine maintenance of designated test equipment and laboratory area.\nIntegrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.\nUnder supervision, manages the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives, providing feedback and guidance, assist in hiring and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.\nRead and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.\nOther duties as directed.\n Higher secondary education (equivalent to HS Diploma)Good written and verbal communication skills.\nSpeaks credibly in area of own expertise.\nHas demonstrated the ability to communicate in a variety of methods. Proficiency in English Ability to communicate technical information in a non-technical way.\nAbility to build and maintain good working relationships.
