UL Solutions is seeking a Product Manager for model-based assurance services. The role focuses on complex engineering systems. It supports services that build confidence in models, simulations, and digital engineering methods.
The candidate will turn market needs and customer problems into product direction. They will set roadmap priorities and define measurable outcomes. The work requires sound product judgment and technical curiosity.
The role requires fluency in product management, modeling and simulation, verification and validation, data quality, software-enabled systems, hardware-in-the-loop environments, and engineering assurance methods.
The Product Manager will turn assurance concepts into practical services. They will define requirements, workflows, and materials that customers can understand and use. The role will also support hardware-in-the-loop service development. The focus is validating the models used in or with those environments.
Product Strategy, Discovery, and Roadmap
Define product direction, roadmap priorities, and success measures.
Turn customer needs and market signals into product priorities.
Prioritize requirements, workflows, and enablement needs.
Develop business cases, value propositions, and positioning.
Product Development and Delivery
Define product requirements for model-based assurance services.
Work with technical, commercial, certification, testing, software, and delivery teams.
Support hardware-in-the-loop service development. Focus on validating the models used in or with those environments.
Make product outputs useful, credible, scalable, and aligned with UL Solutions for quality expectations.
Commercial Enablement and Stakeholder Alignment
Support go-to-market planning, pricing input, sales enablement, and launch readiness.
Create clear product messaging, enablement materials, and leadership updates.
Connect product direction to relevant standards and industry expectations.
Represent UL Solutions in customer, industry, and partner discussions.
Education
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, business, or related field.
- Advanced degree preferred.
Experience
- 5+ years in product management, technical product management, digital solutions, engineering services, consulting, or related technical business role. Experience should include roadmaps, requirements, business cases, launch plans, and work with technical teams.
- Product management training or certification is a plus.
- Project management certification is a plus.
Product Management Skills
- Experience with product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, backlogs, and product lifecycle practices.
- Working knowledge of model validation, modeling and simulation, data integration, HIL environments, and verification and validation.
- Able to turn technical methods into practical services, product requirements, enablement materials, and commercial offerings.

Total Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country. We also provide full-time employees with paid time off including vacation (15 days), holiday and personal days (totaling 12 days) and sick time off (72 hours).
