The work requires sound product judgment and technical curiosity.\nThe role requires fluency in product management, modeling and simulation, verification and validation, data quality, software-enabled systems, hardware-in-the-loop environments, and engineering assurance methods.\nThe Product Manager will turn assurance concepts into practical services. They will define requirements, workflows, and materials that customers can understand and use. The role will also support hardware-in-the-loop service development. The focus is validating the models used in or with those environments.\n Product Strategy, Discovery, and Roadmap\nDefine product direction, roadmap priorities, and success measures.\n\nTurn customer needs and market signals into product priorities.\n\nPrioritize requirements, workflows, and enablement needs.\n\nDevelop business cases, value propositions, and positioning.\n\nProduct Development and Delivery\nDefine product requirements for model-based assurance services.\n\nWork with technical, commercial, certification, testing, software, and delivery teams.\n\nSupport hardware-in-the-loop service development. Focus on validating the models used in or with those environments.\n\nMake product outputs useful, credible, scalable, and aligned with UL Solutions for quality expectations.\n\nCommercial Enablement and Stakeholder Alignment\nSupport go-to-market planning, pricing input, sales enablement, and launch readiness.\n\nCreate clear product messaging, enablement materials, and leadership updates.\n\nConnect product direction to relevant standards and industry expectations.\n\nRepresent UL Solutions in customer, industry, and partner discussions.\n\n Education\nBachelor’s degree in engineering, computer science, data science, business, or related field.\nAdvanced degree preferred.\nExperience\n5+ years in product management, technical product management, digital solutions, engineering services, consulting, or related technical business role. Experience should include roadmaps, requirements, business cases, launch plans, and work with technical teams.\nProduct management training or certification is a plus.\nProject management certification is a plus.\nProduct Management Skills\nExperience with product strategy, roadmaps, prioritization, requirements, backlogs, and product lifecycle practices.\nWorking knowledge of model validation, modeling and simulation, data integration, HIL environments, and verification and validation.\nAble to turn technical methods into practical services, product requirements, enablement materials, and commercial offerings.\nCritical Competencies\nShows sound product judgment. Balances customer needs, business value, and technical feasibility.\nExplains technical concepts clearly. The estimated salary range for this position is $125,000 to $140,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
