Join our team, influence emerging technology and forge a successful career at the center of safety science.\n Managing the implementation of large and complex programs.\nProvides overall leadership and support to one or more project teams. \nIdentify and implement process improvement initiatives to enhance operational efficiency, standardize best practices, and drive operational excellence across the organization.\nEvaluate, develop, and deploy automation, digital technologies, and AI-enabled solutions to improve productivity, streamline workflows, and support data-driven decision-making.\nActs as front-line contact on program related activities, issues, and risks.\nManages risks and issues and takes corrective measurements. \nInterfaces with C-Suite Executives, Business Unit Leaders and finance to develop ROI, IRR and other financial measures.\nBuild and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders at all levels of the organization, facilitating effective cross-functional collaboration to achieve business goals.\nPartners with purchasing to develop POs and manages suppliers and vendor relationships.\nManages stakeholders' communication.\nDefines the program governance (controls).\nPlans the overall program and monitors the progress and performs daily program management throughout the program life cycle.\nManages the programs budget and financial performance.\nCoordinates the projects and their interdependencies.\nManages and utilizes resources across projects.\nMay manage the performance of direct reports by defining accountabilities, establishing performance objectives and goals, providing feedback and guidance and ensuring that all policies are understood and adhered to.\nRead and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices.\nPerforms other duties as directed.\n SKILLS\nDemonstrated leadership ability, technical and business acumen and industry knowledge.\nExcellent interpersonal and communication skills, and proven ability to work effectively with all organizational levels, with Executive Level reporting and escalation experience.\nProven ability to build and lead integrated teams from various internal and external organizations across multiple sites.\nCommunication across programs, projects and areas (business functions and IT functions).\nBackground in the development of strategic and tactical planning of technology and people resources necessary for successful completion of several large-scale projects.\nAbility to achieve broadly communicated objectives with a minimal amount of supervision.\nAbility to promote innovative ideas and accept the risks that are required to lead change.\nAbility to make decisions independently and to assume higher-level leadership responsibilities in critical situations.\nStrong analytical, problem solving and financial skills.\nAbility to innovate under new and/or changing conditions.\nAbility to leverage AI technologies to identify opportunities, optimize processes, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.\nEXPERIENCE\nOver ten years of project management experience running large-scale, distributed/complex projects with multiple parallel threads of work.\nExperience developing, evaluating and submitting business cases for major capital investments.\nExperience with cross geographical project coordination and management.\nExperience with developing RFI/RFP and scoring mechanisms preferred.\nExperience in Organizational Change Management.\nExperience with Lean Six Sigma \nAI Implementation\nEDUCATION\nBachelors' degree required; Advanced degree preferred.\nExamples include: MBA, MA in Project Management, or master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or equivalent work experience.\nPMP and/or Agile certifications preferred but not required with related hands-on delivery experience.\nCandidates must be located near a UL Solutions site to work hybrid (3 days onsite, 2 days remote).\nWhat we offer:\nTotal Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $113,500-$150,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 20% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
