We are looking for individuals who enjoy solving technical challenges, working with cutting-edge technologies, and contributing to a safer, more sustainable future.\nIf you're passionate about electrical technologies, continuous learning, and hands-on problem solving, we encourage you to join our team.\n________________________________________\nFollows complex defined test plans and datasheets with necessary supervision /support.\nEvaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.\nRecords and explains test results and completes test report.\nServes as Project Lead for simple test programs as assigned with the necessary assistance.\nCommunicates project status and results as needed.\nHolds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.\nExamines complex customer samples with help and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case.\nCommunicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.\nUnderstands specific test standards and product technology for scope of responsibility.\nDirects, builds and/or adapts simple test setups and equipment for assigned work, based on test plans and instructions from engineering.\nOperates and maintains complex test equipment appropriately to measure and test customer samples.\nPerforms complex maintenance on designated test equipment and laboratory area.\nMay perform complex calibration of test equipment Integrates basic continuous improvement concepts and techniques for both process and equipment.\nCommunicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.\nRead and follow the Underwriters Laboratories Code of Conduct and follow all physical and digital security practices..\nOther duties as directed.\nWhat You'll Work On\nThe EV / Energy Laboratory tests and evaluates a wide range of innovative products, including:\nElectric Vehicle (EV) Chargers\nInverters\nPower Supplies\nBattery Chargers\nEV Cord Reels and Connectors\nCombiner Boxes\nGFCI, AFCI, and LDCI Devices\nTypical Testing Activities\nHigh- and low-power electrical testing\nMechanical evaluations\nTemperature and heating analysis\nEnvironmental conditioning tests\nGrounding and bonding system verification\nAbnormal operation and overload testing\nShort-circuit testing\nElectrical and electronic troubleshooting\n University Degree in Engineering (in related field of work) or equivalent work experience.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.\nDemonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze special testing needs.\nEffective communication skills and ability to interact with customers.\nDemonstrated ability to be innovative and creative Desire to work in a team-oriented environment.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office suite is a must Ability to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.\nQualifications\nRequired Qualifications\nAssociate degree in Electronics Technology, Electrical Technology, Engineering Technology, or equivalent military electronics training.\nStrong understanding of electrical and electronic fundamentals, including Ohm's Law, open-circuit voltage (OCV), and single- and three-phase electrical systems.\nAbility to read and interpret electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical documentation.\nExperience troubleshooting electrical and electronic systems.\nAbility to solder and perform hands-on electrical assembly work.\nStrong attention to detail, organizational skills, and commitment to quality.\nProficiency with Microsoft Office applications.\nAbility to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a hands-on laboratory environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nExperience working with wiring devices, electrical components, power electronics, or related products.\nPrevious laboratory, testing, manufacturing, or technical field experience.\nStrong customer service and communication skills.\nInterest or experience in laboratory automation, data acquisition systems, and process improvement initiatives.\nCreative problem-solving skills and the ability to identify innovative solutions to technical challenges.\nTotal Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $64,800 to $86,400 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
