Join our team, influence emerging technology and forge a successful career at the center of safety science.\nThis position will be onsite in Rochester Hills, MI working day shift.\n Follows complex test plans and datasheets.\nEvaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.\nRecords and explains test results and completes test report.\nServes as Project Lead for complex test programs as assigned.\nCommunicates project status and results as needed.\nHolds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.\nExamines complex customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case.\nCommunicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.\nUnderstands and is able to explain specific test standards and product technology for scope of responsibility.\nDirects, builds and/or adapts simple test setups and equipment to new situations, based on test plans and instructions from engineering.\nTrains other lab staff on these test procedures or equipment.\nOperates and maintains complex test and support equipment appropriately to measure and test customer samples with the necessary help.\nPerforms complex maintenance on designated test equipment and laboratory area.\nMay perform calibration of test equipment.\nFor a single testing technology, integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.\nCommunicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.\nOther duties as directed.\n University Degree in Engineering or related fields with 5+ years of work experience\nPrior experience with automotive testing: environmental chambers and vibration shakers\nPrior automotive industry experience \nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.\nDemonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality\nHighly effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with customers\nDesire to work in a team-oriented environment\nAbility to use Microsoft Office suite is a must\nAbility to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing\nWhat we offer:\nWe understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $92,000- $100,000 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
