You'll Work On\nThe EV / Energy Laboratory tests and evaluates a wide range of innovative products, including:\nElectric Vehicle (EV) Chargers\nInverters\nPower Supplies\nBattery Chargers\nEV Cord Reels and Connectors\nCombiner Boxes\nGFCI, AFCI, and LDCI Devices\nTypical Testing Activities\nHigh- and low-power electrical testing\nMechanical evaluations\nTemperature and heating analysis\nEnvironmental conditioning tests\nGrounding and bonding system verification\nAbnormal operation and overload testing\nShort-circuit testing\nElectrical and electronic troubleshooting\n\nFollows complex test plans and datasheets.\nEvaluates test performance and sample operation to properly evaluate test results.\nRecords and explains test results and completes test report.\nServes as Project Lead for complex test programs as assigned.\nCommunicates project status and results as needed.\nHolds responsibility for defining test plan, report completion and accuracy, meeting of agreed deadlines, and managing project related activities.\nExamines complex customer samples and learns to operate appropriate tests for each case.\nCommunicates with customers during setup and operation to ensure proper evaluation.\nUnderstands and is able to explain specific test standards and product technology for scope of responsibility.\nDirects, builds and/or adapts simple test setups and equipment to new situations, based on test plans and instructions from engineering.\nTrains other lab staff on these test procedures or equipment.\nOperates and maintains complex test and support equipment appropriately to measure and test customer samples with the necessary help.\nPerforms complex maintenance on designated test equipment and laboratory area.\nMay perform calibration of test equipment.\nFor a single testing technology, integrates continuous improvement concepts and techniques into all aspects of the job.\nCommunicates with management and technical staff to provide suggestions for new equipment, processes, and forms to improve accuracy and efficiencies.\nOther duties as directed.\n Key Responsibilities\nSet up, conduct, and document laboratory tests in accordance with established procedures, standards, and customer requirements.\nExamine test samples and interpret engineering drawings, electrical schematics, wiring diagrams, and technical instructions.\nBuild, modify, and maintain test setups and laboratory equipment to support a variety of testing programs.\nOperate specialized laboratory equipment and perform routine maintenance of testing systems and work areas.\nCollaborate with engineers, laboratory personnel, and customers to ensure efficient, accurate, and timely test execution.\nCollect and record test data, prepare reports and documentation, and clearly communicate technical findings.\nSupport continuous improvement initiatives by identifying opportunities to improve laboratory processes, efficiency, and automation.\nMaintain a safe, organized, and professional laboratory environment while following all safety procedures.\nPerform additional duties and special projects as assigned.\n University Degree in Engineering (in related field of work) as well as 4 years Work Experience.\nOr equivalent work experience.\nDemonstrated ability to manage multiple projects while maintaining high quality and exceptional customer service.\nDemonstrated ability to successfully partner with Engineering and other Laboratory Personnel to complete projects in a timely manner with high quality.\nDemonstrated ability to analyze special testing needs.\nDemonstrated ability to coach and mentor more junior laboratory staff..\nHighly effective written and verbal communication skills and ability to interact with customers.\nProven ability to be innovative and creative.\nDesire to work in a team-oriented environment.\nAbility to use Microsoft Office suite is a must.\nAbility to incorporate automation into day-to-day testing.\nWhat we offer:\nTotal Rewards: We understand compensation is an important factor as you consider the next step in your career. The estimated salary range for this position is $91,900 to $122,500 and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 5% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
