Experience in at least one of these areas is highly desirable. Candidates are not expected to have experience across all three categories.\nThis is a hybrid position in the office in São Paulo, combining remote work with in-office collaboration in accordance with UL Solutions' hybrid work practices. The role may also require travel to customer locations to conduct or witness testing.\n Independently evaluate customer requests and determine the scope of product testing and certification projects.\nDevelop preliminary investigation plans and define project requirements, including applicable standards, cost, timeline, documentation, samples, and testing needs.\nReview product construction, technical documentation, customer information, and available supporting data.\nIdentify and apply applicable UL, IEC, ABNT, INMETRO, and other relevant technical requirements.\nEstablish appropriate testing programs by reviewing technical files, manufacturer information, product samples, and certification requirements.\nServe as a technical point of contact for customers throughout the project lifecycle.\nCommunicate with customers regarding technical requirements, project scope, costs, timelines, sample requirements, test results, and certification procedures.\nExplain technical findings and notify customers when products do not comply with applicable requirements.\nWork with customers to address technical concerns, project changes, and product nonconformities.\nCoordinate laboratory activities by preparing data sheets and technical instructions for laboratory technicians and support staff.\nSchedule and monitor testing activities, review completed work, and establish project completion dates.\nCoordinate the technical and administrative aspects of assigned projects.\nMaintain accurate project documentation and communicate project status and results through regular customer contact and technical reports.\nPrepare Follow-Up Service Procedures, information pages, and other required certification documentation.\nAnalyze engineering issues associated with Variation Notices and determine the acceptability of proposed variations.\nConduct and coordinate file reviews as required.\nProvide technical assistance to laboratory, field, and customer-facing teams.\nCollaborate with colleagues in Brazil and internationally, including technical teams in the United States.\nSupport the development or revision of technical requirements, test methods, and testing equipment when needed.\nIncorporate continuous improvement practices into project execution and technical processes.\nParticipate in customer training, technical seminars, trade shows, or other industry-related activities when required.\nProvide technical guidance or training to laboratory staff, field staff, and junior engineers when appropriate.\nTravel to customer locations to conduct or witness tests when required.\n Completed bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering.\nProfessional experience managing or supporting electrical engineering, testing, product certification, or conformity-assessment projects.\nAdvanced English proficiency, including the ability to participate in technical discussions, interpret standards, and communicate with international teams.\nKnowledge of the technical terminology used in electrical engineering, testing, and product certification.\nWorking knowledge of conformity standards and regulatory requirements applicable to electrical products.\nDemonstrated ability to understand and apply technical standards to product evaluations.\nExperience defining project scope, technical requirements, testing needs, timelines, and deliverables.\nAbility to independently manage multiple technical projects and priorities.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical requirements clearly.\nExperience communicating directly with customers regarding technical projects, nonconformities, testing requirements, or certification processes.\nStrong analytical, problem-solving, project-management, and organizational skills.\nAbility to collaborate effectively with laboratory technicians, engineers, field staff, customers, and international teams.\nAvailability to work in a hybrid arrangement and travel to customer or testing locations when required.\nPreferred Technical Experience\nExperience in at least one of the following areas is highly desirable. Candidates are not required to have experience in all three categories.\nExplosive Atmospheres\nExperience with electrical equipment intended for use in explosive atmospheres.\nKnowledge of Portaria INMETRO nº 115/2022.\nKnowledge of the IEC 60079 series.\nExperience with ATEX, IECEx, INMETRO, or UL Mark certification.\nApproximately three or more years of experience in this technical area is preferred.\nIndustrial Control Panels\nExperience with industrial control panels.\nKnowledge of UL 508A and UL Mark certification requirements.\nExperience with product certification, testing, or technical evaluation of industrial control panels.\nExperience delivering technical training to customers, manufacturers, or internal teams.\nAbility to discuss industrial control panel requirements in technical English.\n Circuit Breakers\nExperience with certification or testing of circuit breakers.\nKnowledge of Portaria INMETRO nº 129/2022.\nKnowledge of UL 489.\nKnowledge of the IEC 60947 series.\nKnowledge of IEC 60898.\nKnowledge of ABNT NBR NM 60898:2004.\nKnowledge of ABNT NBR IEC 60947-1 and ABNT NBR IEC 60947-2.\nExperience with Brazilian or international product
