Our engineers work across a broad range of technologies that are driving the future of industry, including industrial automation, energy systems, power conversion, motor drives, control equipment, robotics and intelligent industrial devices.\nWithin the Arnhem team, as a Project Engineer you’ll specialise in the evaluation and certification of Programmable Logic Controllers (PLCs), industrial control systems, electronic interfaces and variable speed drive technologies used throughout modern manufacturing, energy and infrastructure environments.\nThese products form the backbone of Industry 4.0, enabling automation, machine safety, connectivity and operational efficiency across factories and industrial facilities worldwide.\nWorking directly with leading global manufacturers, you'll combine engineering, testing, project management and customer interaction to help certify products against internationally recognised standards such as IEC/EN 61010 and IEC/EN 61800, ensuring they meet the requirements for global markets.\n Working closely with customers, laboratories and technical specialists, you'll be responsible for:\nManaging certification projects from inception to completion, including defining project scope, timelines, budgets and testing requirements.\nSupporting the sales team with technical reviews, customer enquiries and the preparation of project quotations.\nActing as the primary customer contact throughout the certification process, building strong client relationships and ensuring a positive customer experience.\nReviewing electrical and electronic product designs against applicable standards, including IEC/EN 61010 and IEC/EN 61800.\nEstablishing test programmes by analysing technical documentation, product construction and customer requirements.\nCoordinating all stages of project execution, including scheduling activities, organising resources and tracking project milestones.\nPlanning, witnessing and evaluating a variety of electrical, mechanical and environmental tests, including heat, humidity, performance and safety testing.\nVisiting customer sites across Europe to conduct or witness testing activities and provide technical support.\nCommunicating technical requirements, project progress, certification outcomes and compliance findings to customers.\nIdentifying non-compliance issues and partnering with customers to develop practical solutions.\nPreparing technical reports, certification documentation and follow-up service procedures.\nSupporting continuous improvement initiatives and contributing to the development of new testing and certification approaches.\nCollaborating with laboratory teams and technical experts to ensure high-quality project delivery.\n Required\nDegree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related discipline.\nExperience with, or exposure to, IEC/EN 61010 and/or IEC/EN 61800 standards.\nStrong understanding of electrical or electronic products, industrial control systems, drives, automation equipment or power electronics.\nExcellent project management and customer communication skills.\nAbility to manage multiple projects and priorities simultaneously.\nFluency in English.\nWillingness to travel occasionally to customer locations and test facilities.\nWe'd Love to See\n2+ years' experience in testing, certification, compliance, product development, industrial automation or electrical engineering.\nExperience working directly with customers in a technical environment.\nFamiliarity with CE marking, conformity assessment and international product safety standards.\nExposure to laboratory testing, environmental testing or product evaluation activities.\nDutch language skills are advantageous but not essential.\nGraduate Applications Welcome\nWe're also keen to hear from recent graduates with a degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering or a related field who are looking to develop a specialist career in testing, certification and product safety.
