This position plays a significant and meaningful role in case management, preparing legal documents, and coordinating discovery and trial logistics.\nBasic understanding and general familiarity of applicable commercial and employment law, regulations, and other applicable requirements.\n\nAbility to effectively interact with internal and external attorneys and demonstrated ability to play a key substantive role in effectively managing litigation and other legal projects.\n\nAnalyzes, interprets and validates information on complex legal issues and relevant topics relating to UL Solutions’ business and generates meaningful insights to inform decision-making.\n\nDemonstrated ability to effectively manage and organize legal documentation resulting in improved accessibility and efficiency for the legal team.\n\nDrafts correspondence and legal memos on complex subject matters and maintains a high level of professionalism and confidentiality.\n\nPrepare and draft various legal documents, including preparation of detailed case summaries for attorney review.\n\nPrepare and file documents with federal and state courts, arbitration and dispute resolution bodies, and government agencies.\n\nEffectively manage discovery process, including without limitation witness interviews and witness preparation.\n\nPrepare for trials and provide trial support, including maintaining exhibits.\n\nWorks with various business units within the organization to collect and/or provide relevant information and data.\n\nProficient with legal technology and software tools applicable to the assigned practice area.\n\nProvides recommendations on best practices; implements enhancements; improves processes to ensure the delivery of consistently exceptional service and high-quality outcomes.\n\nCollaborates with businesses and other corporate functions within the organization on complex projects.\n\n Bachelor's degree; Paralegal Certificate plus generally 7+ years relevant experience.\nAttention to detail and organizational skills are critical.\nClear and effective communication skills both orally and in writing.\nAbility to multitask and successfully manage a variety of demands daily.\nAbility to work independently and be proactive with high volumes of tasks and projects. \nReact with appropriate urgency to situations and events.\nTake effective action without having to know the total picture and think creatively and be proactive in solving problems.\nHigh level of professionalism, integrity, and discretion in handling confidential information, as well as the ability to work well with people at all levels inside and outside the company.\nWhat you’ll experience working for ULS\nUL Solutions has been pioneering change since 1894 and we’re still leading the way. The estimated salary range for this position is $115,000 to $130,000 USD and is based on multiple factors, including job-related knowledge/skills, experience, geographical location, as well as other factors. This position is eligible for annual bonus compensation with a target payout of 10% of the base salary. This position also provides health benefits such as medical, dental and vision; wellness benefits such as mental and financial health; and retirement savings (401K) commensurate with the standard rewards offered in each individual location or country.
