Our team is excited to meet you!\nJob Overview & Responsibilities\nAs a Software Engineering Intern at United Launch Alliance you'll gain hands-on experience and will have the opportunity to:\nArchitect, design, develop, integrate, tests and deploy software products supporting applications environments, engineering simulation environments, and embedded launch vehicle flight and ground system control environments.\nMaintain engineering software infrastructure supporting real time systems, engineering labs, and all other assets used to support software product continuous integration and continuous delivery.\nConduct multidisciplinary research and development, collaborate with hardware and analysis engineers in the architecture, planning, design, development, and utilization of embedded and simulation software systems.\nApply the appropriate standards, processes, procedures, and tools throughout the system development life cycle and ensures software quality control standards are met.\nPerform technical planning, requirements management, system integration, verification and validation, cost, and risk analyses for software systems development and integration.\nDevelop software that simulates physical systems and simulates real-time operations.\nDevelop integrates and uses advanced graphical user interfaces and visualization tools.\nSoftware Engineering subskills include Embedded Software, Simulation Modeling Software, Applications Software, Software Product Owner; Software Scrum Master, Software Development Operations; Software Systems Architect, and Software Systems Integrator, cloud engineering, CICD Developers, AI engineering.\nSupport one or more experienced engineers in performance of assignments, spend time shadowing actual operations, and have unique assignments that support larger projects as well as experience the day-to-day workings of engineering.\nInterns may perform and/or participate in additional activities/events which help them build a strong network within the ULA community and with fellow interns!\nRequired Education\nAt minimum completed Sophomore year of college or university by the time of the summer internship assignment.\n\nHigh School/GED\nBasic Qualifications\nMust have a minimum college GPA of 3.00 on a 4.00 scale at the time of application; cumulative, no rounding. We recommend you upload it to your profile when you apply.\nMust have a valid driver’s license and motorized vehicle transportation if assigned an internship in Alabama; California; Florida; or Pueblo, Colorado. For Denver, Colorado and Washington, DC, motorized transportation is recommended.\n Role Specific Qualifications\nAt minimum, actively pursuing a bachelor’s degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) field from an accredited college or university.\nMust have plans to be enrolled in classes during Fall Semester 2027.\nAbility to work full-time for a minimum of 10 weeks during the summer of 2027.\nExperience working in one or more software languages: C++\nC\nJavaScript\nPython\nShell\nPerl\n\nProficient with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook, SharePoint).\nEffective presentation, written communication, and verbal communication skills.\nMust be able to complete an internship at any of the below ULA's locations:Denver, CO\n\nSummary Salary Range:\nCO: $23.10 - $37.95\nPlease note that the salary information shown above is a general guideline only.
