The ideal candidate blends deep expertise in RF front-end circuit design, high-speed digital baseband circuitry, power/signal integrity simulations and hands-on lab bring-up.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign schematic architectures for FPGA-based radio boards, integrating RF front-ends (LNAs, PAs, filters, mixers, PLLs) and digital baseband circuitry.\nDevelop baseband schematics featuring high-performance FPGAs/RFSoCs, memory interfaces (DDR3/DDR4) and high-speed serial links (JESD204B/C, PCIe, Ethernet).\nDesign and review complex multi-layer PCB layouts with strict attention to RF impedance control, grounding, isolation, shielding and component placement.\nPerform pre- and post-layout signal integrity (SI), power integrity (PI) and RF circuit/EM simulations.\nArchitect ultra-low-noise power distribution networks (PDN) and phase-coherent clock networks for sensitive RF and FPGA power rails.\nLead board bring-up, functional debugging and performance characterization using VNAs, spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes and signal generators.\nDebug hardware anomalies related to spurious responses, interference, EMI/EMC, noise coupling and signal degradation.\nCollaborate with FPGA, Embedded, RF systems and Mechanical engineering teams to deliver integrated solutions.\nPrepare comprehensive manufacturing documentation (schematics, BOMs, Gerber, test plans and design review reports).\nRequired Skills\nBachelor’s degree in Electronics Engineering, Electronics & Communication, RF or a related field.\n2+ years of hands-on experience in full-lifecycle hardware board design (schematic to production) for mixed-signal and RF systems.\nStrong knowledge of FPGA hardware integration and high-speed digital interfaces (JESD204B/C, DDR3/DDR4, PCIe).\nProficiency with schematic capture and PCB layout EDA tools (KiCad, Altium Designer, Cadence Allegro/OrCAD, or Mentor Xpedition).\nExperience running simulations in tools like LTspice.\nSolid grasp of PCB layout best practices, stack up design, high-frequency board materials (e.g., Rogers) and EMI/EMC mitigation techniques.\nAdvanced proficiency with RF test equipment (VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Signal Generators).\nStrong analytical and troubleshooting skills for hardware debugging.\nPreferred Skills\nMaster’s degree in Electronics, RF, Communication or Microwave Engineering.\nExperience designing spaceborne, harsh-environment, or defense hardware (IPC Class 3 standards).\nFamiliarity with multi-channel phase-coherent systems, direction finding or radar hardware.\nKnowledge of thermal management and heat dissipation strategies for high-density FPGA/RF boards.\nExposure to environmental testing (TVAC, vibration, thermal cycling) and EMI/EMC compliance testing.\nDeep understanding of RF circuit design (DC to 40 GHz), impedance matching, S-parameters, return loss and noise figure.\nExperience running RF simulations in tools like Keysight ADS, Ansys or HFSS/Slwave.\nAbout ULOOK\nULOOK is a deep-tech company pioneering an Autonomous RF Signal Intelligence Stack from orbit.
