This role involves owning critical parts of the digital signal chain, from high-speed data capture to real-time processing and system integration.\nYou will work closely with RF, DSP, and embedded systems teams to design systems that handle wideband signals, maintain timing integrity, and deliver reliable performance in demanding environments.\nKey Responsibilities\nYou will design and build FPGA systems that:\nCapture and process wideband RF data streams with strict latency and throughput constraints\nImplement real-time DSP pipelines for filtering, detection, and signal characterization\nInterface with high-speed converters and RF front-ends using JESD204B/C and related protocols\nManage multi-clock domain systems and ensure robust timing closure across complex designs\nIntegrate RFSoC or Zynq-based platforms with external systems over PCIe, Ethernet, and embedded interfaces\nSupport system bring-up, debug, and validation using both simulation and hardware setups\nContribute to architecture decisions that balance performance, resource usage, and system reliability\nThis is a hands-on role where you will see your designs move from RTL to deployed hardware.\nWhat We’re Looking For\nMust-Have\nBachelor’s degree in EE/ECE/RF Engineering or equivalent\n3 + years of FPGA design experience in complex systems\nStrong RTL skills (Verilog/VHDL)\nProficiency with Xilinx Vivado/Vitis or Intel Quartus\nFull FPGA lifecycle experience: design → simulation → synthesis → bring-up\nHigh-speed interface experience: PCIe, JESD204, Ethernet, SerDes\nUnderstanding of multi-clock domains, CDC, STA, and timing closure\nDSP fundamentals: FFT, filters, correlation\nFamiliarity with SoC architectures and AMBA protocols (AXI/AHB/APB)\nGood-to-Have / Differentiators\nMaster’s degree in EE/RF/Microwave/Communications\nExperience in aerospace, space, or high-reliability systems\nHardware-software co-design and system integration experience\nMATLAB/Simulink to HDL workflow experience\nFamiliarity with RF systems: IQ correction, AGC, phased arrays\nExperience with RF lab equipment (spectrum analyzers, oscilloscopes, signal generators)\nEmbedded/firmware development experience in C/C++\nWhy Join ULOOK\nWork on real RF systems that operate in space, not just simulations or isolated lab setups\nOwn meaningful subsystems and see them through from design to deployment\nBe part of a small, high-caliber team solving technically hard problems\nBuild systems that combine RF, DSP, and distributed sensing in ways that are still evolving\nEarly-stage environment with significant ownership and growth potential\nAbout ULOOK\nULOOK is a deep-tech company pioneering an Autonomous RF Signal Intelligence Stack from orbit.
