This role will be a strategic contributor to the growth of our Renewables Lifeline Sector®.\nWhat You'll Do\nWork with internal team and external clients to develop renewable project design/construction packages including BESS layouts, electrical one-lines, collection systems, collection system studies, and equipment installation details for Utility Scale renewable systems (50-500MW+).\nInteract directly with clients for successful project execution\nDesign projects of multi-discipline teams of 2-4 people including a design engineer (focused on the layout, details, etc.), a system studies engineer, with additional support from CAD technicians.\nSupport development of early-stage projects with conceptual designs and material take-offs.\nContribute to continual development of internal engineering standards, toolsets and work processes.\nTurning initial system conceptual ideas into fully developed optimized EPC designs.\nMust have strong attention to detail.\nMust collaborate well with a team.\nWhat We Expect from You\nDegree in Electrical Engineering required or equivalent required. \nMinimum of 2-4 years of experience in power systems, with detailed design of Renewable BESS strongly preferred.\nExperience with CYMCAP preferred.\nExperience with ETAP and or EasyPower Preferred.\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.\nStrong analytical and problem-solving skills.\nProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point)\nExperience/familiarity with AUTOCAD or Revit is preferred but not necessary.\nMust be a self-starter and willing to identify improvements and implement them, utilizing support from others \nMust be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.\nDue to the dynamic nature of the renewable energy market, the ability to learn, understand, and apply new technologies is a must.\nKnowledge of BESS and or Wind systems, NEC requirements, and construction practices is strongly preferred.\nThe position requires the ability to effectively multi-task and manage numerous projects/tasks simultaneously, frequently within aggressive and compressed schedule.\nAbility to maintain project schedule and achieve target due dates.\nExcellent presentation and verbal/written communications skills \nDemonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients and external agencies \nIf working remote must have reliable high speed internet capabilities.\nUp to 15% travel required\nValid driver’s license preferred\nDemonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement\nMust be legally entitled to work in Canada\nAs you consider applying for a position at Ulteig, we encourage you to think outside the box - because we do!
