In this role, you will support the design of utility-scale renewable projects on battery energy storage systems (BESS) and/or wind projects. This role will be a strategic contributor to the growth of our Renewables Lifeline Sector®.\n**Please note that resumes must be submitted in English for the application to be considered**\nWhat You’ll Do\nCreate and review electrical designs for battery energy storage (BESS) and/or wind projects, including one-line diagrams, grounding, protection schemes, low voltage auxiliary systems, equipment elevations, bill of materials, panel board details, cable installation details, and other drawings associated with the design for utility-scale renewable systems (100-500MW+).\nDesign projects on multi-discipline teams of 2-4 people, including a design engineer (focused on the layout, details, etc.), a system studies engineer, with additional support from CAD technicians.\nPerform electrical studies such as cable ampacity, energy loss, short-circuit analysis, lightning risk analysis, protection coordination, and grounding analysis.\nSelect and specify key electrical components such as transformers, switchgear, inverters, relays, and batteries.\nWork closely with internal project teams, external contractors, and equipment vendors to deliver complete and buildable designs.\nAssist with utility interconnection applications and ensure compliance with applicable codes (NEC, IEEE, NESC, NFPA).\nProvide technical guidance during construction, commissioning, and troubleshooting to ensure the design intent is achieved in the field.\nKeep up to date with evolving wind and BESS technologies, codes, and standards to incorporate best practices into designs.\nAdditional duties may include tasks beyond what is listed, such as special projects, assisting colleagues, or new initiatives. A willingness to adapt to changing priorities and support team efforts enhances collaboration and growth opportunities. \nWhat We Expect from You\nBachelor’s in electrical engineering required, or equivalent.\nMinimum of 2 years of experience in power systems, with detailed design of Renewable BESS and/or wind projects strongly preferred.\nExperience with engineering software such as ETAP, Easypower, CYME (or CYM CAD), AutoCAD, REVIT, CDEGS, or similar is a plus.\nKnowledge of BESS and/or wind systems, general power system/utility knowledge, NEC and NESC requirements, and construction practices is strongly preferred.\nAbility to learn, understand, and apply new technologies is a must.\nProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).\nStrong written and verbal communication skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to clearly and effectively present complex information to all levels of employees, management, and clients.\nMust be a self-starter and willing to identify improvements and implement them, utilizing support from others.\nMust be capable of devising new approaches to problems encountered.\nAbility to maintain project schedule and achieve target due dates.\nDemonstrates strong interpersonal skills with the ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with staff, management, clients, and external agencies.\nStrong analytical capabilities, self-motivation, and the ability to effectively manage priorities in a dynamic environment.\nStrong organizational and prioritization skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and competing demands simultaneously.\nAbility to work in a hybrid schedule: 3 days in the office, 2 days from home.\nMust possess strong verbal and written English communication skills (CEFR level B2-C1).
