The ideal candidate will be able to provide sound engineering design for projects with rapid and evolving requirements.\n**Please note that resumes must be submitted in English for the application to be considered**\nWhat You'll Do\nApplies current, standard engineering techniques, procedures and criteria to complete engineering tasks, and supports other civil, structural, and electrical design workflows as necessary on a case-by-case basis.\nDevelops plans, details, and reports that are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound utility-scale renewables early-stage development engineering practices.\nWorks closely with and provides guidance to engineering technicians and design engineers.\nEngages with clients to understand their priorities, relying on experience and judgement to plan and accomplish project goals while exceeding client expectations.\nChecks design and computations performed by internal design team and provides ideas and executes to promote higher quality designs. · Reviews development plans and specifications for constructability, safety, and risk considerations.\nMaintains a value engineering mindset throughout design.\nWorks closely with business and engineering staff across multiple markets and technical disciplines.\nWorks closely with clients to understand nuanced technical needs and identify best feasible solution(s).\nSupports marketing, sales and business development activities within assigned market.\nDemonstrates a wide degree of out-of-the-box thinking, creativity, and design ownership.\nWhat We Expect from You\nB.S. in Civil, Mechanical, or Electrical Engineering\nMust be incorporated to CFIA\nMinimum of 4-6+ years of relevant engineering experience, with at least 3+ years of experience in design of utility scale renewables, required.\nExperience in utility scale renewables development is a plus.\nExperience in engineer of record or construction of utility scale renewables is a plus.\nStormwater management and permitting experience is a plus.\nDemonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of AutoCAD or Civil 3D is required. Demonstrated proficiency and working knowledge of PVFarm, SAM, GIS/ESRI, PVProspect, or similar industry software is a plus.\nProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Outlook).\nMust have authorization to work legally in Costa Rica for any employer.\nAs you consider applying for a position, we encourage you to think outside the box - because we do!
