The selected candidate will be involved with the design of small to large multi discipline projects. Candidates must be self-motivated with excellent communication skills and an ability to work in a collaborative team environment. Ulteig is a 100% employee-owned company with ESOP contribution for eligible employees after first year of service.\nWhat You'll Do\nApplies current, standard engineering techniques, procedures, and criteria to complete engineering tasks.\nDevelops plans, specifications, and observation reports that are complete, accurate and in accordance with sound engineering practices.\nWork closely with and provides guidance to engineering technicians and graduate engineers.\nCheck design computations performed by internal civil design team when appropriate.\nPrepare reports and correspondence concerning the direction of assigned projects.\nReview plans and specifications for accuracy, quality, construct-ability, safety, and risk management considerations.\nMaintain a value engineering mindset throughout development, design, and construction.\nIs technically involved with the resolution of design challenges that may include performing field investigation or observations and when necessary, resolving discrepancies between multiple sources of information.\nWorks closely with business and engineering staff across multiple offices and technical disciplines.\nWork on projects associated with multiple State DOTs, cities, and counties.\nSupport field staff by addressing construction questions, review field changes, and make periodic site visits.\nWhat We Expect from You\nB.S. in Civil Engineering from an ABET accredited program or equivalent required.\nCivil Engineer-in-Training (EIT) registration required.\nMinimum 2 years of civil engineering experience required.\nExcellent communication, leadership, planning and mentoring skills.\nProven experience in Microsoft Software Applications (Word, Excel, Power Point, Access) and CAD Software Applications such as C3D or Bentley MicroStation.\nDemonstrates openness to innovation by embracing and applying evolving technology and AI tools to enhance workflows, solve problems, and drive continuous improvement.\nMust have authorization to work permanently in the U.S.\nAs you consider applying for a position at Ulteig, we encourage you to think outside the box - because we do!
