The ideal candidate will combine strong analytical and design skills with hands-on engineering experience to solve complex technical challenges and support products throughout their lifecycle.This role requires collaboration across mechanical, electrical, manufacturing, quality, and supplier teams to deliver reliable, scalable, and cost-effective solutions.\nKey Responsibilities\nDesign, analyze, and develop mechanical components, assemblies, and systems.\nCreate detailed 3D CAD models, engineering drawings, and documentation.\nConduct engineering calculations, simulations, and tolerance analyses.\nSupport prototype builds, testing, validation, and failure analysis activities.\nCollaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product requirements are met.\nDrive design for manufacturability (DFM), assembly (DFA), reliability, and cost optimization initiatives.\nCoordinate with suppliers and manufacturing partners on component selection and production readiness.\nDevelop and execute engineering test plans and evaluate results.\nIdentify technical risks and implement mitigation strategies.\nSupport product deployment, sustaining engineering, and continuous improvement efforts.\nEnsure compliance with applicable industry standards, regulatory requirements, and safety practices.\nRequired Qualifications\nBachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related engineering discipline.\n8-10+ years of mechanical design and product development experience.\nProficiency with 3D CAD tools such as SolidWorks, Creo, CATIA, or Siemens NX.\nProficiency with Visio, and 3D Printing\nExperience creating detailed engineering drawings and GD&T documentation.\nStrong understanding of mechanical design principles, materials, manufacturing processes, and tolerance analysis.\nExperience with laboratory testing, prototyping, and root cause analysis.\nStrong problem-solving, communication, and collaboration skills.\nAbility to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced engineering environment.\nPreferred Qualifications\nMaster's degree in Mechanical Engineering.\nProfessional Engineer (PE) license.\nExperience with finite element analysis (FEA), thermal analysis, or computational modeling.\nExperience supporting high-volume manufacturing environments.\nKnowledge of sheet metal, castings, machined components, plastics, and electromechanical assemblies.\nFamiliarity with reliability engineering and environmental testing.\nExperience working with global suppliers and contract manufacturers.\nNotice\nDue to the nature of the programs we deliver for our customers, candidates may need to obtain the relevant security clearance or handle export-controlled material as defined by the role's requirements.\nOur Benefits\nEvery employee is critical to our success, and as such, we offer a range of flexible employee benefits, including:\nAnnual Bonus - Annual Bonus - Performance Related\n\nCompetitive Paid Time Off (PTO) package plus 11 company holidays\n\nEarly finish on Friday\n\n401K w/ company match\n\nMedical/Dental/Vision Benefits\n\nStudent Loan Assistance Program\n\nArray of voluntary benefit offerings\n\nUltra I&C is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
