The Electrical Engineering Technologist supports many aspects of product development including design, build, and testing.\nAssist in the design, development, build, and testing of electrical systems and components.\nPrepare and interpret technical drawings, schematics, and specifications.\nConduct site inspections and ensure compliance with safety standards and regulations.\nCollaborate with engineers and other team members to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.\nPerform routine maintenance and calibration of electrical equipment.\nDocument and report on project progress, including preparing technical reports and presentations.\nSupport the installation and commissioning of electrical systems.\nStay updated with industry trends and advancements in electrical engineering technology.\nRequired Skills:\nDiploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technology or equivalent experience.\n3+ years of industry experience.\nAbility to work on Canadian Controlled Goods and US ITAR controlled articles\nCandidate must be capable of acquiring a NATO Reliability and Secret security clearance\nDesired Skills:\nProficiency in electrical design, including wiring diagrams and PCB layouts.\nFamiliarity with electronic lab equipment, such a oscilloscopes, multimeters, and spectrum analyzers.\nExperience testing and troubleshooting circuit cards.\nStrong understanding of electrical codes, standards, and regulations.\nSoldering (IPC J-STD-001 certification preferred)\nExcellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.\nAbility to work independently and as part of a team.\nStrong communication and interpersonal skills.\nWillingness to travel within Canada, US and Overseas\nTypically, a High School Diploma (or equivalent) and 3+ years of related experience.Associate Degree (or equivalent) preferred .\nDiverse & Inclusive Employer\nUltra Maritime is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity, inclusion, equity and equality.
