This role is an exiting opportunity for a new or recent graduate looking to accelerate their development and career while contributing to the development of new and innovative solutions for the Royal Canadian Navy and its partners in the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) domain.Nationality Requirements\nCandidates must be eligible to obtain a security clearance (secret) required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.\nNationality Requirements\nCandidates must be eligible to obtain the relevant security clearance required for the role, due to the nature of the programmes we deliver for our customers.\nJob Description\nKey Responsibilities:\nApplies a breadth and depth of engineering skills to develop solutions to complex problems within time, cost and quality constraints.\nSupports technical proposal and bid efforts.\nDefines and manages system and subsystem requirements.\nContributes to trade studies to evaluate different potential design solutions.\nSupports the System Design, through functional and non-functional analysis.\nSupports the Integration, Verification and Validation strategy throughout the program.\nContributes to work packages for assigned projects.\nPlays a supporting role in technical / design reviews and risk management.\nActively contributes to the digital transformation of the business and seeks avenues for continuous improvement within the field.\nRole Requirements:\nBasic knowledge of the Systems Engineering lifecycle and formal processes and methodologies - preferably in the defense sector.\nSome limited experience or exposure to some elements of the project lifecycle from bid through to in-service support.\nGood communication skills and some experience interfacing with various project stakeholders.\nRequired to maintain a security clearance.\nQualifications/Other Skills:\nDegree level (or equivalent experience) in Systems Engineering, Electrical Engineering or closely related discipline.\nIdeally achieved 1+ years of experience in the Systems Engineering field - ideally within the naval defense sector or a highly complex engineering environment.\nExcellent written and verbal communication skills.\nUse of standard office tools and proven experience with tools such as DOORS, UML tools, ERPs and other Configuration Management tools.\nTypically, a Bachelor Degree (or equivalent) in a related field and 0+ years of related experience or a recognized apprenticeship.May be required to maintain security clearance.\nDiverse & Inclusive Employer\nUltra Maritime is an equal opportunities employer that values diversity, inclusion, equity and equality.
