This role will be responsible for ensuring product conformance to qualified designs as well as monitoring and improving product performance. The role will provide support to the design engineering and production operations teams through the following responsibilities:Job Description\nIdentify appropriate materials and process to ensure the quality, performance, and manufacturability of products.\n\nCreate, interpret, review and maintain engineering documentation (Prints, Specifications, etc.)\n\nEvaluate design and manufacturing processes through analysis and test\n\nPerform root cause and corrective action analysis on returned hardware\n\nSupport supplier quality and manufacturing with DfM and troubleshooting\n\nFoster technical collaboration across multiple engineering disciplines and across business functions\n\nWrite reports and present technical content at peer and design reviews\n\nAdditional Job Description:\nBachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering or similar engineering discipline\n\n3+ Years of relevant experience\n\nDesired Skills:\nKnowledge of various manufacturing techniques including injection molding, die casting, machining, welding, etc.\n\nUnderstanding of drafting principles and standards, including GD&T\n\nExperience with manufacturing documentation including PFMEA and Work Instructions\n\nStrong technical writing and communication to various stakeholders; ability to write engineering reports and deliverables\n\nProficiency with basic test and metrology equipment for engineering assessments\n\nExperience in design, manufacture, and assembly of products\n\nProficiency in 3D modelling software (SolidWorks, Inventor, Creo, etc.)\n\nAbility to obtain a US Government security clearance.
