From developing sonar and radar systems to advancing unmanned and undersea platforms, our technologies empower the U.S. Navy and allied forces to operate in some of the world’s most complex environments.\nAs the maritime and underwater battlespace evolves, we continue to push boundaries-driven by innovation, accountability, and a shared commitment to excellence.\nJoin us as we shape the future of naval warfare-safeguarding the seas and strengthening navies worldwide.\nNationality Requirements\nDue to the nature of the programs we support, certain roles may require candidates to meet U.S. nationality requirements and be eligible to obtain a security clearance.\nPosition Summary\nProvide tactical support to the Quality function; providing oversight of Calibration Control along with incoming product inspection review of simple to intermediate products (as assigned).Job Description\nJob Description:\nCalibration Coordination Responsibility (Required):\n·Communicate with external vendors to obtain equipment quotes and for monitoring external calibrations.\n·Utilize ERP system / Gage Software to track and maintain calibration status and records.\n·Coordinate with other departments at UM facilities to obtain assets requiring calibration as well as coordinating calibrations of those devices, both internally and externally.\n·Performs equipment calibrations (as needed).\n·Performs a variety of test station processes/reviews (as needed).\n·Tracking root cause of audit deficiencies (as needed).\nQuality Technician Responsibility (As Assigned):\n·Performs incoming inspections, following defined instructions, to validate purchased material.\n·Performs inspections of assemblies and subassemblies.\n·Perform layout inspections of purchased material and summarize into reports.\n·Utilize ERP system to release or quarantine nonconforming purchased material.\n·Conducts training with team members on critical processes and inspection procedures as appropriate.\nStandard Responsibility (Required):\n·All staff are required to take reasonable care for their own health and safety by adhering to established safety policies and procedures, not willfully placing at risk the health or safety of any individual, and wearing personal protective equipment as specified in work instructions.\n·Inform the PMI Lead & Supplier Quality Manager of issues and recommend solutions.\n·Performs all other duties as required, requested, or needed.\nQualification / Skills (Preferred)\n·Strong communication and organizational skills.\n·Ability to work well with others.\n·Computer Experience: Microsoft Office, Databases, ERP / Gage Software\n·Working knowledge of basic inspection equipment (caliper, micrometer, etc.)\n·Understanding of Blueprint reading and GD&T\n·Ability to manage and multi-task time along with occasional priority changes.\nPhysical Requirements : \nThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential function of this job.
