We also help support our engineers to become chartered or incorporated.\nOpportunities may also be available to get involved in STEM outreach activities, including engagement with schools and universities and supporting summer placements.\nKey Responsibilities:\nImplement software in C/C++ and Rust in line with the company software development process and supporting codes of practice.\nValidate software by carrying out integration tests on target hardware\nCreate applications in Python to support automatic test equipment development\nContribute to the creation of software requirements, architecture, and design documentation\nCreate unit tests and regression suites to be incorporated into the CI build pipeline.\nSkills Required:\nRelevant degree in a STEM related discipline with a minimum of a lower second-class honours degree achieved within the past two years\nExperience of C, C++, Rust or Python\nExperience of Object-Oriented Design (OOD)\nDesirable Skills:\nKnowledge of embedded software design for microcontrollers, microcontroller familiarity\nKnowledge of JavaScript, node.js and react.js\nKnowledge of design patterns such as SOLID\nAgile/Scrum, Jira, Version control (GIT), experience in C embedded programming, awareness of coding standards e.g. MISRA. \nRole Requirements:\nWilling and able to obtain, and maintain, SC security clearance.\nWilling and able to obtain, and maintain, DV security clearance (following attainment of SC clearance).\nNotice\nDue to the nature of the programs we deliver for our customers, candidates may need to obtain the relevant security clearance or handle export-controlled material as defined by the role's requirements.
