We hope you join us.\nAbout the Role\nJoin Ultra's elite, Brooklyn-based Manufacturing team and help us scale from prototypes to production-we're already building 10+ AI-native industrial robots every month, with aggressive growth planned for the months and years ahead.\nYou'll work directly with our engineering and production teams at our Brooklyn headquarters, taking ownership of the complete manufacturing process for our fleet of warehouse automation robots. This role is critical: customer demand for our robots is high and increasing, and you'll help to establish and maintain our production quality standards and processes as we scale from dozens to thousands of deployed systems.\nWhat You'll Do\nCore Responsibilities\nBuild complete robot systems from fabricated parts, PCBs, motors, sensors, and compute modules\nFabricate and integrate custom wiring harnesses, including soldering, crimping, and professional cable management\nEnsure assembly quality standards: proper strain relief, correct torque specifications, clean wire routing, and reliable connections\nPerform functional testing and verification of assembled systems before deployment\nDocument assembly issues and recommend process improvements as we iterate on designs\nSupport occasional deployment, troubleshooting, and field service as needed\nWhat We're Looking For\nRequired\nHigh school diploma or equivalent\n2+ years of hands-on assembly experience in electromechanical systems (automotive, industrial equipment, robotics, or similar)\nDemonstrated proficiency with soldering and cable fabrication\nStrong attention to detail and quality control mindset-you take pride in work that's built to last\nComfortable with hand tools, power tools, and assembly fixtures\nManual dexterity for both precision work and general assembly\nAbility to regularly lift 50+ pounds\nBasic computer skills (email, documentation, internet)\nPreferred\nTechnical degree or certification (automotive technology, electronics, mechatronics, etc.)\nExperience with root-cause analysis and troubleshooting in engineering production environments\nBackground in quality control or process improvement initiatives\nStrong interest in tinkering and making cool things\nFamiliarity with torque specifications, fastener types, and mechanical best practices\nExpected Compensation\n$55,000 - $90,000/annual salary + equity + benefits\nThis compensation range may be inclusive of several career levels at Ultra and will be narrowed during the interview process based on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
