Which is where you come in.\nWhat you will be doing\nResponsible for troubleshooting issues and provide solution for maintenance or outside contractors.\nUnderstanding all processes and Equipment at Sweeps, Melting furnaces, Au refining, Waste water treatment and Assay methods, provide adequate support for area in need. \nProvide support in processing different type of refining material.\nRun Trials\nManage the metal balance of refining processes\nManage process improvement projects for refining and sweeps processing.\nManage Quotes/CAPEX and commissioning of new process equipment.\nCustomer Complains - start internal or externa investigation base on complaint and provide feed back to customer service.\nEHS - take part in any Process Risk Assessment and HAZOP (Hazards and Operability study).\nCover key roles in Refining departments like Team lead at 951, some assayers, Chemical operator.\nFollow all EHS, IMS and other company rules and wear all required PPE.\nWear, and ensure all reports wear, all required personal protective equipment and that all health, safety and environmental rules are followed at all times. Support the initiatives of the JHSC. Ensure all equipment is operated in accordance with external certificates, regulations and guidelines.\nOther duties as assigned\nWho we are looking for\nBachelor of Chemistry or Chemical engineering\n3-4 years in chemical manufacturing\nGood communication and organizational skills\nStrong mechanical skills\nHealth and safety training is an asset\nAbility to work safely in a hot environment and meet deadlines\nExcellent analytical skills.\nGood computer skills.\nGood communication skills (verbal and written) - able to do regular reporting.\nUnderstanding of pumps\nEffective both when working on their own and when part of a team.\nAbility to multitask.\nAbility to work effectively with minimal supervision once an assignment is fully understood.\nResults oriented and focused on deadlines.\nAttention to detail.\nWillingness to learn\nUnderstanding of WHMIS, MSDS etc.\nThis is a hands on, results oriented position, so comfort on a shop floor production/processing environment is key.\nThis is a new position. \nAI is not being used to screen, evaluate or select candidates. \nThe starting rate for this position $66,800\nWhat we offer\nWe aim to lead the way.
