We’re a collective of thinkers, problem solvers, and creative minds working across disciplines to shape a better world. Whether it’s cities or airports, bridges or brands, we design solutions that address real societal challenges.\nModel Making Internship - Amsterdam\nAs an international design firm, UNS is active across various fields of architecture and design. Our Amsterdam office is looking for model-making interns who want to participate as full team members, contributing to the creation of high-quality architectural models that support our design process.\nWhat kind of tasks?\nAt UNS, physical models play a crucial role in visualizing and refining our designs. As a Model Making Intern, you will assist in:\nConstructing architectural models at various scales using different materials and techniques\n\nExperimenting with materials and fabrication methods\n\nSupporting the design teams by translating concepts into physical representations\n\nAssisting in 3D printing, laser cutting, and handcrafting detailed model components\n\nWhat would be my impact as an intern?\nAs a Model Making Intern, your work will directly support the design process by turning ideas into precise physical models. These models help internal teams explore, refine, and communicate their concepts - which are often used in presentations to clients and collaborators.\nBy contributing to projects across different scales and typologies, you'll get a behind-the-scenes look at how architecture is developed in a fast-paced, international design environment - and gain experience that's valuable for anyone interested in working at a high professional level in the field.\nThis internship offers you hands-on experience in professional model making within an international and collaborative environment.\nRequirements\nEnrolled in a university (preferably Master Program) or higher technical school program for the entire duration of the internship\n\nExperience in model making with a good sense of materials and craftsmanship\n\nEnglish fluency (spoken and written)\n\nRhino knowledge is a plus\n\nRendering software knowledge is a plus\n\nReliable, pro-active, and detail-oriented\n\nConditions on doing your internship at UNS:\nYou are enrolled at an educational institution for the whole duration of your internship.\n\nIn the case of non-EU citizenship, you must be registered as a student at a Dutch educational institution.\n\nIn case of EU citizenship, you may be registered at any educational institution.\n\nPhysical presence at the location of your internship. We believe that you learn most when you can work directly with your colleagues. It is therefore not possible to work completely remote and UNS does not facilitate housing for your internship.","description_format":"text","description_chars":2846,"description_truncated":false,"requirements":{"experience_years_min":null,"management_years_min":null,"team_size_min":null,"manages_managers":false,"education":null,"security_clearance":false,"languages":[{"language":"Dutch","level":"All levels","optional":false},{"language":"English","level":"Advanced (C1)","optional":false}]},"benefits":[],"hiring_locations":[],"hiring_excludes":[],"relocation_offered":false,"industries":["Education","Architecture"],"lifecycle":[{"event":"open","at":"2026-10-19T15:31:15Z"}],"visa":[],"liveness":{"score":60,"band":"ok","label":"Likely open","p_open":1,"p_active":0.602,"p_room":1,"age_days":6,"expected_fill_days":25,"reasons":["conf:1","stale_co","win:early","comp:junior"],"computed_at":"2026-10-26T05:57:25Z"},"pay":null,"html_url":"https://alion.io/job/un-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027","json_url":"https://alion.io/job/un-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027.json","meta":{"generated_at":"2026-10-26T20:46:10Z","cache_seconds":300,"methodology":"https://alion.io/methodology","terms":"https://alion.io/terms","contact":"https://alion.io/contact","api":"https://alion.io/developers","about":"Alion is a live layer of people, companies and AI agents: who they are, whether they are real and active right now, what they do and how to work with them, readable by people and by agents and paid per call.","catalog":"https://alion.io/catalog.json","usage":{"tier":"crawler_verified","counted_by":"address","units_charged":1,"used_today":27913,"day_limit":null,"remaining_today":null,"minute_limit":300,"resets_at":"2026-10-27T00:00:00Z"}},"offers":[{"id":"company.slices","title":"One company in depth, by slice","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002,"plus_per_slice":{"credits":0.05,"usd":0.005}},"unit":"per company, plus each slice with data","note":"the employer in depth","call":{"mcp_tool":"get_company","arguments":{"id":1868961},"rest":"https://alion.io/mcp/rest/get_company?id=1868961"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.slices&for=job%2Fun-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027"},{"id":"market.stats","title":"A market slice: pay, demand and time to fill","status":"live","price":{"credits":1,"usd":0.1},"unit":"per slice","note":"pay, demand and time to fill for this role and place","call":{"mcp_tool":"market_stats"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=market.stats&for=job%2Fun-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027"},{"id":"job.search","title":"Open jobs by role, technology, place, pay and visa","status":"live","price":{"credits":0.02,"usd":0.002},"unit":"per posting in a list","note":"similar open postings","call":{"mcp_tool":"search_jobs"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=job.search&for=job%2Fun-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027"},{"id":"company.verify","title":"Is this company real and active right now","status":"pilot","price":null,"unit":"per company","request":{"url":"https://alion.io/catalog/request","method":"POST","body":"{\"offer\": \"company.verify\", \"for\": \"job/un-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027\", \"note\": \"what you need it for\"}"},"human":"https://alion.io/catalog?offer=company.verify&for=job%2Fun-studio-model-making-internship-janfeb-2027"}]}
