This role translates design direction, athlete and consumer insights, and category needs into distinctive physical and digital prototypes that advance product learning and decision-making. Working closely with Design, Development, Product Line Management, Innovation, and factory partners, this role explores new methods of making and manufacturing to strengthen product performance, creativity, and brand expression.\nYour Impact\nWork collaboratively to produce cutting edge designs reflecting Under Armour’s DNA and brand - standards\nStrong point of view built on your own inspirations, experiences and ideas.\nAbility to build strong partnerships with your creative peers while bringing concepts to reality\nStrive to always push the methods of making and manufacturing innovation, challenging the footwear process.\nCreate work that is compelling, disrupts, motivates others, and can continue to define UA footwear\nEvaluate prototype construction, repeatability within factory, and manufacturing considerations, recommending improvements throughout process\nDemonstrate flexibility, organizational skills and the ability to multi-task projects with overlapping timelines\nQualifications\nBachelor’s degree with typically 2 years of related experience OR Master’s degree without experience OR typically 6 years of relevant experience without degree.\nFootwear making, cobbling, prototyping, and customizing in a sample room setting\n\nPattern designs with lasts, materialize, and assemble footwear prototypes\n\n3D modeling along with 3D printing experience is a plus\n\nFamiliar with Industrial sewing machines and other machinery \nDemonstrated project organizational skills\nDemonstrated aptitude for communicating technical information to a non-technical audience\nDemonstrated effective oral and written communication skills; presentation and public speaking skills\nBuilds strong working relationships inside and outside the organization\nAbility to work across the innovation organization, within a group, and independently with only general supervision\nEntrepreneurially curious and creative; self-motivated, and disciplined.\nWorkplace Location\nLocation: This individual must reside within commuting distance from our Baltimore, MD office.\nWork Schedule: This role follows a hybrid work schedule, requiring 4 days in-office per week. \n Travel: Occassional domestic and international travel. \nSponsorship Eligibility: (US ONLY) UA does not offer sponsorship of job applicants for employment-based work authorization for this position at this time.\nRelocation\nNo relocation provided\nBase Compensation\n$65,000.00-$90,000.00 USD\nMost new hires fall within this range and have the opportunity to earn more over time.
