You will partner closely with the General Managers, the Facilities crew, and our team members to ensure our housing units are well-maintained and that room assignments are appropriately coordinated throughout the season. You will drive a company vehicle (generally a van) and create a comfortable and clean transportation environment. This is a seasonal, hourly position, and includes the option of team member housing for the duration of your employment.\nCompetencies\nEffective Communication\nAdaptagility\nKey Responsibilities\nYou maintain composure, take action, are resourceful, and solutions-minded in unpredictable situations such as weather, diverse needs of guests, or incidents on property\nBe empathic to the needs of team members, and provide consistent, timely communication regarding housing assignments and shuttle service\nPrioritize and deliver critical, accurate, and relevant information to the right people\nBe an active listener, a genuine relationship builder, and an approachable co-worker\nDevelop and distribute a Housing Booklet that depicts housing expectations, lines of communication, and general property information.\nProactively coordinate housing assignments for team members throughout the season beginning in mid-April.\nEnsure housing is ready; clean, made-up, in working order and welcoming, prior to staff moving in\nFollow through on commitments and take action to solve problems as needed\nIdentify and address maintenance needs\nProactively develop a Shuttle schedule that includes laundry trips, grocery trips, and National Park exploration trips.\nAssist with maintenance tasks in housing and other areas and follow up to make sure tasks have been completed\nTransport staff to and from stores several times a week\nConduct consistent housing inspections, focusing on team member well-being\nEfficiently manage the Employee Housing budget\nEnsure the shuttle van is in good condition\nEstablish strong working relationships across all departments on the property\nBe willing and able to jump into different departments in the hospitality field to help the camp’s on-site operations when they are in need\nSchedule and execute weekly housing inspections\nFollow schedule at all times\nOther duties as assigned\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh SchoolDiploma or GED\nMust have a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record\nAt least one year of experience managing projects\nProperty or facilities experience preferred\nAbility to multitask and prioritize\nAttention to detail\nSolutions-oriented\nAdditional Information\nAbility to work outdoors for long periods of time, including during extreme heat and cold or weather events\nAble to stand and move for long periods of time\nAbility to lift 30lbs independently; all lifts over 31 lbs. require assistance from a co-worker\nThis position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.\nCOMPENSATION AND BENEFITS:\nUnder Canvas strives to provide a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that addresses the needs of our team members.
