The Restaurant Manager assists the General Manager of Food & Beverage with all onsite food & beverage operations including, but not limited to, restaurant, catering, bar, micro-market, and coffee.\nThe Restaurant Manager will assist with forecasting, planning, and managing all F&B orders, supervise team members, and track and oversee departmental finances. The goals of the Food & Beverage Department are to maximize sales and revenue, drive guest satisfaction, and create high levels of employee engagement.\nThe Restaurant Manager will serve as a Manager on Duty for the Restaurant and should be willing to learn and support all aspects of Under Canvas operations.\nCompetencies\nEffective Communication\nAdaptagility\nFostering Learning and Development\nInspiring Others\nPlanning and Organizing\nDecision Making\nInitiative\nKey Responsibilities\nThrive in a high-volume restaurant environment.\nRegularly execute a smooth dining experience through management of the floor during service, expediting tickets, and maintaining a presence in Front of House and Back of House.\nFace challenges with resourcefulness and a positive attitude.\nThink critically to respond and react quickly to ever-changing situations on property.\nEstablish and clearly communicate goals and expectations using strong interpersonal skills.\nProfessional in all internal and external communications.\nPossess confidence in making decisions for the health of the operation.\nResolve guest and team member issues quickly and efficiently.\nInterview and hire team members.\nIdentify opportunities and create action plans to enhance and optimize food & beverage operations.\nAble to run the department and work independently with minimal oversight.\nEstablish and maintain relationships with local businesses and communities.\nBe growth oriented.\nAssist with evaluating, developing, and reporting on NPS and eNPS action plans.\nMonitor financial performance to drive business decisions.\nLead and support team members in individual growth and career advancement plans to contribute to our internal leadership pipeline.\nCreate a positive work environment that is guest-focused.\nEnsure that all SOPs and expectations are implemented and maintained.\nCollaborate with other members of management.\nPrioritize tasks effectively.\nParticipate in camp-level and company-wide meetings.\nSubmit high-quality work products in a timely manner.\nOther duties as assigned.\nPreferred Qualifications\nHigh School Diploma or GED.\nCurrent Food Safety Manager certification.\n2+ years of Food & Beverage experience in a fast-paced, results-driven environment.\nPrevious culinary experience preferred.\nKnowledge of federal food safety standards.\nTrack record of managing profitability through proper staffing, effective control of food, beverage, and labor costs, and achieving budgeted targets.\nWillingness to assist in all roles to support the operation (e.g., working the line, processing guest transactions).\nAble to demonstrate sound judgment, follow direction, and take decisive, appropriate action.\nWillingness to learn and embrace company policies, practices, and procedures, including emergency and safety procedures.\nMust have strong organizational skills to execute and prioritize multiple tasks.\nStrong influencing skills and ability to inspire teams.\nWillingness to travel to support Task Force roles as needed.\nAdditional Information\nAbility to lift 30 lbs. independently; all lifts over 31 lbs. require assistance from a co-worker.\nAbility to work outdoors for long periods of time, including during extreme heat, cold, or weather events.\nAble to stand and move for long periods of time.\nThis position is contingent upon the satisfactory completion of a motor vehicle records check, if requested by Under Canvas.\nCompensation and Benefits\nUnder Canvas strives to provide a comprehensive benefits and compensation package that addresses the needs of our team members.
